"Hey Suki," called Kaoru as she ran. She shivered and pulled her jacket closer as the snow piled onto the field.
"Kaoru!" shouted Suki. She ran up to Kaoru and gave her a big hug. "Let's make some snow angels."
"Sure," she replied. "I'll leave our bags here." Suki nodded and they began skipping the snow covered field. Suddenly, they heard a scratching noise. They glanced behind and spotted a big, tall snowman standing yards away. Kaoru turned towards Suki.
"Was that there earlier?" she asked. Suki shook her head.
"Nope," said Suki. "It doesn't matter. Let's keep skipping." Kaoru shrugged and they started skipping. Again, they heard a scratching noise. When they looked back, they saw the snowman standing directly on top of their trail. Suki jumped back and Kaoru lifted her fists.
"What's going on?" they asked. Suddenly, a shadow fell over them and a chilling breeze blew the snow surrounding the snowman. Slowly, the snowman began to change. His arms and head shook as the snow began to settle. The snowman smirked and cried out in laughter.
"MWAHAHAHA!!!" cried the evil snowman. "I shall rule the world!" He looked at the girls and smirked. "I'll start by getting rid of you kids." Instead of screaming or yelling, Kaoru bent down and threw a snowball at the Snowman. Suki dropped on her knees and patted the snow into balls. Kaoru snatched Suki's snowballs and pegged them at the snowman. He turned and glared at her. He walked over to her bag and pulled out a cookie. Smiling, he ate her cookie. Her mouth dropped open and the snowball melted as she fiercely clutched it.
"YOU ATE MY COOKIE?!" yelled Kaoru. She grabbed all the snowballs she could find and threw them at the snowman. Just then, Daisuke, a close friend of theirs, came out of his house. He climbed over the fence and strutted over to Kaoru. His mouth was wide open.
"Dude!" he yelled. "Is that an EVIL SNOWMAN?!"
"Yeah," replied Kaoru pulling back her ponytail. 'THAT STUPID EVIL SNOWMAN OWES ME A COOKIE!!" She frowned and picked Daisuke off the floor.
"DIE YOU STUPID SNOWMAN!" yelled Kaoru as she threw Daisuke at the snowman. The snowman laughed swiftly knocked the kids to the ground.
"I didn't expect much from a couple of 10-year-olds anyway," he said. "Stay here." He strolled away and disappeared into the snow.
"We're 13. Stupid snowman," mumbled Kaoru. "You still owe me a cookie!"
"What do we do now?" asked Suki. “He’s going to kill us!"
"I'm not sure," Daisuke replied. "Do you have any ideas Kaoru?"
"Oh my gosh!" cried Kaoru. She jumped up then fell flat on her face. Mori, Kaoru's older brother, popped out from under the snow. His black hair and clothes looked very awkward in the white scenery. The expression on his face was equally strange.
"Did you just see a moving snowman?" he asked. "I'm not just making it up, right?"
"You see, there was a snowman and he is alive," they replied. "We have no idea how it came to life."
"Well, we better get rid of him!" shouted Mori. He crawled back into the snow and popped up yards away from Suki's house. As he disappeared inside her house, the snowman reappeared in the field. He was wearing a top hat and holding a gun up to them. Suddenly, Mori emerged into the field holding a baking blowtorch. He bolted towards the snowman yelling lines from those rated-R movies.
"DIE!!" he yelled as he blasted the snowman with the blowtorch. The snowman let out a terrible cry and melted into a puddle.
"That's the end of that," said Mori.
"Yeah!" said Suki. "No more snowman."
"Good riddance you stupid snowman," grumbled Kaoru.
"Since3 it's over, why don't we watch a movie at my house," suggested Daisuke.
"Sure!" they said. "Race you there!"
"AARRGGGG...."
"What was that?" they asked each other. They turned and looked at Mori.
"What?! It wasn't me," he said. The noise seemed to become louder and louder. The awful howling seemed to be coming from right behind them. Then, the noise stopped and a large shadow fell upon them, literally. They slowly spun around. The Evil Snowman was glared down at them.
"GGGRRR!!!" snarled the snowman. "Did you really believe you could beat me that easily?!"
"What?!" yelled Mori. "I thought I destroyed you."
"You're supposed to be dead!" cried Daisuke.
"Wait. You can't kill something that's already dead," Suki pointed out.
"How do you get rid of it then?" asked Kaoru. She snatched the blowtorch from Mori's hand and blasted the snowman with full force.
"Here." Suki was holding a bottle in her hands.
"What is it?!" they asked.
"It's Holy Water," said Suki. "It's for protection from vampires."
"You believe in vampires?" asked Daisuke.
"Yup," she replied. "Once, this vampire girl snuck up from behind me during Halloween. I got scared and ran. Did you know she looked exactly like Kaoru?" Kaoru looked away and started whistling. "Let's kill this thing," said Suki as she sprayed the Holy Water at the snowman.
"ARGGG!!!" he shrieked. "WHAT'S GOING ON?! THIS WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!" The snowman slowly melted away. The group sighed.
"We did it!" said Daisuke. "That's right. We won!"
"Great!" Suki said. "I didn't like him."
"Now that's over, we can celebrate!" Mori said.
"Alright!" said Kaoru. As they were walking, Kaoru stopped. She looked at the evil snowman's puddle and scowled.
"Wait," said Kaoru. "He still owes me a cookie!!"
