• I stretched and looked at Luke. He was yawning and stretching. The sunlight shined in through the alley way. It was a nice warm day today. I stepped out into the sidewalk with Luke. We continued our adventure to a new life. I suddenly saw a little girl and boy skip by. They must have been 12 and 13 years old. The blond little girl stopped and looked over her shoulder us. My eyes widened. How can a kid have purple eyes? The boy turned to face us. He had red eyes! I was starting to freak out. Luke started growling and barking at them. I was to shocked to stop him. Luke wouldn't growl or bark like that unless there were hunters around. My blood suddenly went cold. They were the hunters. I spun around and ran. Luke was on my heels still growling. The boy and girl were suddenly in front of me. I skidded to a halt. "Whats wrong?" The little girl said in a scary voice. "Wh-who are you!?" I stuttered. Luke twined around me growling. She giggled and the boy laughed. "I am Melissa, and this is my brother, Racid." she answered. I stepped back and she stepped forward. Melissa laughter freaked me out. Racid laughed in his deep booming laugh again. "You wont see the day of light again!" Melissa shouted and threw a knife at me. I ducked and she tackled me.
    Luke and Racid were to busy fighting. I was pinned to the ground. Suddenly, I heard a whimper. Luke was hurt! "What should I do with the dog, sis?" Racid asked, pinning Luke to the ground. "Kill him." Melissa said. My eyes widened. They were gonna kill Luke! My only family! "Don't you dare hurt my dog!" I yelled. I heaved up and threw her. I launched at Melissa with my sword. Her own sword clashed with mine. Racid put a gun to Luke's. He clicked the bullet into place. Now all he had to do was shoot him. "Leave my dog alone!" I spun around and slashed Racid's arm off. Blood gushed out of his shoulder. Racid shrieked in agony and got off of Luke. He grabbed his shoulder and leaned against the wall. Melissa screamed and lunged at me. I spun around and slashed her sword in half. She dropped her sword and pulled out a gun. I stabbed her through the heart with my knife. Racid screamed and fired his gun. My knife had gone through his heart at the same time. Blood gushed out of my shoulder. It wasn't to major. I took my knife and ran away. Luke followed me. The sunrise shined on the blood behind us. This has been the worst sunrise ever. I called this morning bloody sunrise.
    We ran and never stopped. I wouldn't stop. And neither would Luke. How many hunters would they send after me? Why do they want to kill me? The questions still remained in my head. But all I knew was that me and Luke would be able to defeat every hunter.
