Three years ago I decided to look into my future. It was a popular thing to do at school then. Everybody did it. I was nervous. My friends had said it would be alright. That it’d be cool. But something in my gut told me otherwise. But I didn’t go with my gut; I went with my friends guesses. Some advices though, always go with your gut.
It’s dark, but I feel like my face and legs are on fire. I can’t remember where I am. I try to reach over and feel my way along the floor. As soon as I touch the floor with my hands I immediately snap them back towards my chest. The floor is white-hot. That’s when I start to notice the heat on other parts of my body. My arms, my feet, my chest. Everywhere. I try standing up without having to touch the walls or floor. The heat on my feet isn’t as bad as everywhere else, but it still burns. As I walk, the fire gets hotter. Then I hear a noise, just like a faint scuffling of feet. But real faint. It gets louder and louder the farther I walk. I notice a light straight ahead from where I’m looking. I start running toward it. Then I hear that scuffing again. I freeze dead in my tracks. The light is coming from a room. And the scuffing is coming from the room. I think about knocking, and then stop myself. What if whoever is behind that door doesn’t find my entrance as welcome? I think. I don’t want to get myself killed. I turn around and as soon as I look up I see a man standing there. I scream. He grabs my arm and pulls me around a corner. He puts his hand to my mouth and covers it. “Hush your mouth.” He whispers. I pull his hand away from my mouth and back away slowly. The light coming from the room suddenly brightens and I notice that the man’s eyes are yellow. I gasp and back even farther away. The only thing I know to have yellow eyes is a Bloodsucker. The man looks at me and his eyes glow furiously. I keep stepping back until I hit a wall and burn my back side. I noticed I had on nothing but my underwear. “Who are you?” I say. The man step forward and says quietly, “My name does not matter, but what does matter is that you stay still and quiet.”
I chuckle and cross my arms. "Are you serious? You think I would stand near a Bloodsucker and be quiet? Or did you think I wouldn't notice? That I would be "easy" prey?" The Bloodsucker's eyes glowered at me. I turned and ran. I kept running straight and as soon as I stopped I noticed the Bloodsucker was in front of me again. I gasped as his eyes shined with fury. He grabbed my arm and pulled me close to his chest. He smells good, really good, I think to myself. The Bloodsucker leans toward my neck and ear. I think he's gonna bite so I swing at his face. He catches my hand in mid-air and whispers in my ear, "Didn't think I'd notice you were a Sharp, huh?" He smiled, showing his fangs. I snatched my hand back. "There was no need to know, creatin." I hissed. He shook his head, at least, it lookd lik a shake. "You don't wanna go that way." He smiles. As if on a schedule, a door swung open and that bright light was spilling out of the gaping entrance. The Bloodsucker grabbed my arm again and pulled me away from the light. "What are you doing?!? We should be going towards th light! I can barely see!!" I whipped my arm away. "If you want to go towards the light so badly, why are you whispering?" He grabbed my arm again and pulled me farther down the way. I noticed his hands were ice cold, and it comforted me from the heat. I relaxed until, as we turned around the corner, IT appeared.
I'm guessing you wanna know what IT is...
Well, let me just tell you this.
IT ain't very nice.
I sqeauled in terror at what was standing in front of me and that god damned Bloodsucker. The beast standing in front of us was the most foul combination of rotting flesh, decaying teeth, and a deranged hope on mass murder and destruction. IT was a Drython. And I know that doesn't seem so scary, but why don't you stand near enough to this thing to smell its horrible breath, and tell me you feel no fear. I pulled the Bloodsucker close to me so I could block out the beasts disgusting smell with his sweet one. The Drython snarled a deep growl and lunged at the Bloodsucker. He threw me to his side as the beast tackled him squarely. I stared as the Bloodsucker wailed out in agony. I stood and ran for the foul thing, ready to rip it to shreads. But before I could even swing at it this loud high-pithched ringing sounded off. "Aaaaaggh!!" I screeched as I fell to my knees. The Bloodsucker and I held our ears with our hands and yelled out. The Drython stood up and sped off from us and the ringing noise. I felt a wetness on my hands and I knew that my ears had started to bleed. The Bloodsucker rolled on his side twisting his head furiously, as if trying to get the noise out of his head. I screamed one last time before I passed out from all the blood I'd lost.
"........groan....... wha, where am I......?" I try to stand up but something is holding my arms down. " What the...?" I breathe. I shake my arms side to side to try to find out what's holding me down.
"Shackles, dahling. We're strapped down to shackles." a too familiar voice laughs masochistically. I groan in total distress . I sniffle because a ripe smell blows past my nose.
“Are you crying?” The Bloodsucker asks.
“No, do you smell that?” I sniff the air again. It smells just like oil.
“No. You know, I can see everything in here.”
“How? Its pitch black in here.”
“It’s you,” he says, “You have this freaky light guarding you like a blanket and it lights up everything.” He shakes what I guess are his chains, and sighs.
“If you can see, tell me if you see any kind of liquid and these shackles.” I raise my arms and then let them drop.
"Yeah, there is. What are you up to Sharp?"
I don't answer him. I raise my arm again and let it drop near the chains. A spark flies and I smile. "Did you see that?" I bounce on my bosom a little and raise my arm and let fall once more. A bigger spark flies and lights the chains on fire. The fire lights up the room and I turn to look at my surrondings. "Oh no." I cry out. What I see are bones. Human bones. "Oh no. Oh god please no." I sniffle and look at the Bloodsucker. "Why? Why didn't you tell me?" The Bloodsucker looks at, his ever luminous eyes faint in the light.
"I didn't want to frighten you. Really, truly, and honestly." He hangs his head full of thick black hair. We sit in silence. I am nervous. What could of done this to all of these humans? I think to myself. A low growl from nowhere, emits from the dark around me. "God. What was that? Hey! Bloodsucker? Do you know what in the hell that was?" The Bloodsucker leans over and blows out the little bit of fire I had created. "What in the hell are you doing? Now I can't see!!" I twist as much as I can with shackles on my arms. "Shhh." The Bloodsucker whispers. I start to disagree, but I stop myself when a hoard of warm, sticky, liquid pours over my head. I moan and try to move away from it. The low growl starts up again and the Bloodsucker whispers, "You have to be still and quiet." I try to do what he says but the liquid stuff starts pouring harder and faster. It runs over my eyes and into my mouth. I can't help it. I scream. And then I pass out. But not before I see 4 pairs of eyes. 2 are red, and the other two are somewhere between green or
Yellow.
