Insanity
- relatively permanent disorder of the mind;
state or condition of being insane
---
And her back is pressed against one of the corners in her too-white
room, nervous giggles escaping her from time to time. Her arms are
wrapped tightly around her legs which are far too thin.
Where were they? Weren't they coming to see her today? They were late -
they were never late. Did they abandon her?
She softly gasps as they enter her room, replacing the empty and the
quiet and the white with their presense, their singing and their myrad
of colours.
She stands up and dances among them, sings with them. She giggles at the
feeling of their scaly bodies as they rub against her.
Just as quickly as they came, they leave - leaving her alone once agin
to the white and the empty and the silence and the nothing.
And so, once again, like everytime the fishes leave her, she curls up in
the corner, wraps her arms around her too thin legs, rests her forehead
against her pointy knees and weeps.
