Sometime ago, when I was still young
I would sit as the autumn wind blew
Dreaming under the silver sun
Waiting for you
The men and women would come out in white suits
The music flowing through the night air
Matching to their staccato march
They would slip us into a forgotten nightmare.
In the world of opposites the blue birds gather
White roses bloom beneath the star clad sky
And the willows would sing as the birds scatter
As I slip beneath the old lie.
Materializing into our minds is a divine phoenix
Rising from the ashes of hell
Red and gold plumage blazing with a thousand feathers
Bringing with it a final farewell.
Behind us is a dark abyss
With only a dim light to guide us to jubilee
Looking back and falling into despair,
Falling deeper into the lunar sea.
Not long ago, before we stumbled into darkness
We would run along with the autumn wind
Waking to the golden moon
And leaving behind our sins.
