I look up to the endless sky,
All is blue and is bright,
A small smile on the face
Of a tiny infant in a crib

I look up to the endless sky,
    White fluff balls now
    Making an appearance
    More and more.
    The laughter of a child
    Is heard from somewhere,
    I don’t know from where.

I look up to the endless sky,
    Gray is now predominant.
    Rays of sunlight,
    They may shine trough.
    Thunder is heard above
And regions of a darker shade
    Are also so numerous.
    Some teens walk past me:
    Some with arrogance
    And nose up high.
    Some in groups snickering,
    Laughing at others.
    Most with indifference,
And some with their face covered
    And hallowed eyes.

I look up to the endless sky,
    Still painted gray
    And so stormy,
    Wind has made
    It’s appearance now.
Adults go around in a rush:
    Some with friends,
    Others with files,
    Some cursing,
    Others just going somewhere
And some not really caring where.

I look up to the endless sky,
    Covered completely in clouds.
    People with wrinkled skin
    And witnesses of many events
    And with stories to tell
    Now passing me by.

I look up to the endless sky
    And now rain pours
    From the black-gray-blue clouds
    So high in the sky.
And it rains and rains and rains,
    On the people buried below.
