Silent Sorrow
She walked out of the cave with sorrow strewn upon her face; she sniffed the air and smelled life perishing within the place. Could it be her life long pack was truly fading? Face uplifted to darkening sky breathing deep, She felt she should leave, see her true home again Oven the vast mountains Just like the other did, her name would be spoken only in memory. Then it hit her, What she said was true. 'You are important to me but I am not to you,' Once every wolf has gotten To know one another, a pact begins to form. Although memories of the past still linger. But when one leaves this pact, a piece of all our hearts tries to follow, So now we keep from fading But we will start to cry, So the wolf decided That she would beg the others, That they should stay To never leave us ever, Stay together She knew that her pack would become strong again, And so with her mind made up she walked back to her den Still breathing deep, Still thinking to herself, Still trying to slowly say goodbye.
