The girl walked into the big open room and sat the messages in front of a guy about her age. "These people sure do attract alot of Demons...." The girl held out the old mans message. "This one first." The guy laughed. "Ellie you get suckered into these all the time....." Ellie sighed. "Gale he said it was important." Gale nodded. "HEY CID!!" Gale waited for a reply but no one answered. "DAMNIT OLD MAN GET OUT OF BED ITS ONLY 8 IN THE MORNING!!! WE HAVE WORK TO DO!!" A large man walked out of a room. "If I wasn't so tired I'd hit you for that Old Man thing..." Gale held out the message and Cid took it. "Seems serious..... Where is..." Ellie cut him off. "She and her mother went out to buy some groceries for the week.... Least they aren't lazy...." Cid sighed. "I was up all night give me a break...." Gale laughed. "Yeah me too.... if it weren't for Ellie yelling at me then I woulda been sleeping... peacefully.." He glared at her. She turned away. "Well... I was bored okay... I couldn't sleep..." Gale's eye twitched. "We have to find you a hobby..." Gale sighed and stood up. "Ellie you wait here for the girls.... Me and Cid will handle this one." Ellie nodded and Gale and Cid went into a room behind Gale's desk. They stood in their store room and looked around. "This place is a mess...." Gale reached for his two swords. Cid laughed. "Yeah... isn't Ellie suppose to take care of this room?" Gale smiled. "Hey Ellie I found something that you can do next time you are bored...." She walked in and saw the trashed room. "Oops..... I forget.." Gale and Cid laughed. "I'll have it cleaned by the time you two get back." They headed for the door while Ellie stayed in the room. "Maybe I can escape my usual assault today..." He opened the door and they started walking through the town. "Kid.... there is no escape." Gale sighed and nodded. Cid was only 24 now. He was born much later than his brother Ceru who had disappeared after the battle. Gale had just turned 17 only a month before they began the business. They had reached the edge of town and Gale gave a sigh of relief. "Guess I can escape--" Before he could finish he was tackled from behind. Cid began laughing. "What was that kid?!" Gale sighed. "Y'know.... A simple hello wouldn't kill you......... or me..." Gale and the girl that had tackled him stood up. "But thats not very fun." Gale dusted his clothes off and laughed. "Lemme guess.... you plan on coming with us... right Sophie?" She nodded. "And how do you plan to defend yourself?" She smiled. "Thats my little secret.." "Fine... just don't get yourself hurt..." Gale shook his head and the three walked out in the woods. The old man that gave Ellie the message had lived away from the town. Gale knew where the place was and was surprised it had taken this long for it to be a target for a demon. They approached the back of the home and saw the problem immediately. "Thats a big snake...." Gale nodded. In the fields behind the house slept a massive snake Demon. "Wonder how many pairs of boots I can make with that thing..." Cid laughed. "Well lets do this." The snake woke up and looked at them. "So you are the hunters that foolish old man sent for?" "Hey it talks too... I don't like for my boots to talk..." Gale shot forward and cut its head off. "Kid..." Gale looked up at the body. The head regrew and it began laughing. Gale sighed. "BLAZE!!" Gale jumped back as a large fireball engulfed the snake. "What the hell was that?!" Gale looked over to Sophie who had her hand held out and aimed at the now burning snake. "That answer your question from before?" Gale laughed and nodded. "But there goes my boots..." Cid and Sophie laughed.
