Chapter 3. The Secret Door.
Max looked at me.
"What am I going to do now? Henry's a vampire, my own mother is a vampire!
"And He's coming back to kill me if I dont get what he wants!"
I sighed deeply.
He cocked his head to the side as if trying to say, "Wow, you have issues!"
"Thanks for the support!" I said sarcasticly.
Max just wagged his tail.
"Okay think...what does he want? I have no idea...Okay then, I know he's a vampire so maybe he wants blood...
"Well if he wanted that I would be dead by now...Ugh."
I rubbed my temples and thought some more.
"I'll just call my mom back."
I picked up the phone and hit redial.
"Hello?"
"Hey mom! I need your help."
"What is it Rosia?" She sounded kind of earitated.
"What does Henry want from me?"
"He was there?!" She sounded shocked.
"Yeah...he wanted something, but I have no clue what."
"I see...well I do know what he wants, but you cannot give it to him!"
"Why, what is it?"
"It's something more valuable then your life!"
Oh yeah thanks mom! I feel so loved.
"Okay? And where do I find this?"
"Rosia, if I tell you, do you promise not to give it to him?"
"Sure."
I mean really, of course I won't give it to a blood sucking monster that wants to kill me! Oh no, I'd rather die.
"Okay, you know where we used to live? Drive there, and call me back."
The line went dead again.
"Whatever, Come on Max! Looks like we're on a road trip!"
I walked towards my car and opened the car door for Max to jump in.
"Did you go potty?"
Max barked, and I climbed in the car.
We got to my old house about a half hour later.
Max and I hoped out and ran into the huge house.
Inside the house was dark and empty.
Even though it was almost noon, the house was almost pitch black.
I stummbled up, what might have been stairs, but it felt too bumpy so I wasn't sure.
Max growled.
"Hush Up!" I whispered and tried to find the light switch.
He obeyed and followed me threw the darkness.
I heard something moaning.
I shivered.
Probobly my imagination.
But I heard it again.
No, it had to be real.
Where was it coming from?
I finaly found the light switch and flicked it on.
I nearly screamed when I saw what was moaning.
Bodies.
I felt my knees shake.
There were Parents, babies, teens, kids and even seniors!
It was terrible!
Some were even dead.
Some were still alive and moaning.
Max growled at the bodies moaning.
My knees gave in and I fell onto the hard wood floor.
I looked at the walls, they were stained with blood, just like the floors.
Blood everywhere, bodies and bones.
I felt my lip quiver.
Why did mom want me to come here?
Did she want to kill me too?
Did she kill all these people?!
There must have been over 100 bodies here.
It smelt really gross too.
I had tears roll down my face.
"You came."
I saw my mom sitting at the kitchen table.
She flicked her wrist and I couldn't breathe, like she stold all the air out of me.
I gasped for air, nothing came.
I felt my heart thud quicker and quicker against my chest.
My lungs were starting to burn.
My hands fell on the floor so I was on all fours now.
Max just stayed out of the way and looked at me with sad eyes.
He saw my face, which said, Don't worry about me! Just stay there!
I felt my body tremble.
Is this really how I'm going to die?
I looked up at my mom, she smiled at my weakness.
My tears fell on to the floor, but I couldn't see them real well.
My vision weakend as I tried to gasp for more air.
But none came.
In a second, everything was black.
I woke up in a strange room.
There was no windows or anything.
The walls were all cream colored.
It was empty, except for a door.
The door was small and had a moose on it.
Maybe mom was waiting on the other side.
Mom...she isn't my mom.
She was a monster, no she was a Vampire.
I got up and slowly walked towards the small door.
I opened it.
Another dark place.
Great! Now all I need is flying monkies and me in my underpants and I'll call this a nightmare!
I slowly crawled through it and the light flicked on.
Well thats conviniount.
I found a note on the other side of the door, it read;
Rosia, I'm sorry I have to do this to you, but you know how this stuff goes.
Vampires gotta eat!
Max is with me and Henry.
What Henry is looking for is in the box at the end of this room, you must give it to him by sundown tonight,
or...you know.
If you can give it to him he'll only kill you.
If you cant then, he has a little girl that can always take your place, and you'll become a vampire too.
I love you.
Oh well, that's a heart warming letter!
I need to get whatever he wants to him before sundown!
I quickly jogged to the box and carefully clicked it open.
Inside was...a key?
All Henry and mom wanted was a stupid key!?
Henry was going to kill me for a key!?
Well he can have the stupid key!
'You cannot give it to him!'
My mom's voice echoed in my head.
But the note said to give it to him...maybe she wasn't a vampire when we were on the phone and he
changed her before I got here!
Well, I have to give it to him!
He can't kill the little girl!
