Chapter 7. Sacrafice.
"Umm...Ben, I didn't mean it like that."
I tried to convince me.
Ben's face looked a little relieved and a little disapointed at the
same time.
"I'm sorry."
Ben said softly and backed up another two steps.
"I could tell you, but you wouldn't believe me."
He looked at her more interested.
"I'll try to believe."
"Okay,"
I whispered automaticaly.
"I'm a vampire too."
Ben's eyes widend.
"You...you tricked me? How could you?"
I could smell his fear, and his blood smelt of human,
and something else, something...familiar.
"I-I just...You...and..."
My voice trailed off and I reconized the smell.
Vampire.
"Ben, your a vampire?"
He snickered at me.
"Used to be."
"Used to be? Wh-what happend?"
I couldn't help it but I wrapped my arms around him.
"Henry, turned me mortal."
"Oh."
I said softly and looked at the ground, still hugging him.
"Ben, do you think you'll ever be a vampire again?"
"Maybe."
Swooph, Swooph.
Ben's ears perked up and he looked around.
"Carly, run."
"But-"
"RUN!"
Ben shouted and pushed me.
(Ben's veiw)
Carly looked at me with huge eyes as I was pushed
to the ground.
"Oof!"
I breathed and felt cold hands wrap around my neck.
Again with the choking tecneque.
"Get off!"
I managed to say.
"This is my mission, I must not fail."
The small vampire whispered.
"My master said if I complete my mission, I will be
mortal again."
The vampire looked about 15 or 16.
Her hands shook and she relised them a little.
"Do you acually believe that?"
I asked and saw the guilt in her eyes.
"No, but I have to try."
She was on the edge of tears.
"Don't, fail. Please don't kill me."
I begged, but it didn't seem to work.
"But, Master said...Master said..."
Her voice got louder and louder as she grew mad.
"Master said! I mustn't decive him!"
She screamed and her grip tightend so much
I almost passed out.
"Wh-what's...your...name?"
I spit out.
"Courteny."
She said angerly.
"Courtney, who are you doing this for?"
I breathed harder.
"Henry."
"Who?"
I asked not believing her.
"Henry!"
She said louder.
I was weak so I whispered.
"Who?"
"Mike."
She whispered back.
I felt tears land on my forehead.
"My love."
"Let...go..."
I choked.
She tightend her grip, but then released.
"Henry will be furious."
I hugged her.
She sobbed into me.
Great another cry baby.
"I'm so sorry. I must go."
She said and stood up.
Suddenly I heard a faint ticking noise.
Tick-tick-tick-tick.
What is that noise?
The ticking was getting faster and faster.
A bomb.
"Carly, Courtney!"
I screamed and grabbed both of them by the arms.
"Run."
I said and they started to run.
Courtney tripped and we all landed on the ground.
The ticking, I noticed was getting louder and louder,
faster and faster.
"Crap!"
I yelled and smashed their faces into the sand.
They just laid there.
Good, the ticking stopped...wait the ticking-
My thoughts were inturupted by a huge explosion.
I was sent flying sixty feet into the air.
The heat of the bomb burned and tore my skin.
Same with my clothes.
My eyes began to shut as I was falling.
This is where I'm going to die.
I told my self and I had flash backs of Rose, Max and Alishia.
All of them dead.
Well not Max, he was somewhere.
Hopefully safe.
I heard a thud, it was so loud it was hard to believe
that the thud was me.
The breath was taken out of me.
I couldn't see anything but blackness.
All I smelt was blood and fire.
All I could hear was the crackling of the fire against my skin.
Chapter 8. Maxes rescue squad.
I could hear the barking of tons of dogs, some I thought were sounding like cats.
I felt one lick my face and barked.
Another dog came and grabbed the collar of my shirt and dragged me to
what felt like grass.
He barked as if he were saying, "This one needs more help."
I coughed as I choked on blood.
"Fast."
He barked louder.
I heard several other dogs panting by me.
Each of them barking.
It was really annoying.
"He's not gonna make it."
One said.
"Max isn't going to be happy about this..."
Another one said.
"We have to try to save him!"
It sounded like a younger one.
"How?"
"Get the medicine!"
Then I was gulping down a thick syrup.
My eyes felt lighter, so I opened them.
I saw three huge dogs staring at me.
"M-Max, you okay?"
I breathed.
He barked.
Then relity hit me.
I could feel fear, it was so strong I started to shake.
It was my fear.
"Carly! Courtney!"
I yelled...well it sounded like a dying cow.
"How are the others?"
Max asked.
"Not well. We found the bodies, but they don't look to be alive..."
My heart sank and my stomached turned.
I felt as if I would throw up.
"Max..."
I begged.
"Please save them."
Max barked as if understanding.
"Get the medicine to them quickly."
A huge dog barked.
It sounded deep and kind of scary.
I felt my heart in my chest begin thuding faster and faster.
I couldn't breath.
"Max!"
I choked.
He barked and I felt my left leg go numb.
Had I broke it when I hit the ground?
Was it blown off?
I was scared to look down.
I gulped and gasped for air.
Slowly looking down, to my relife it was still there.
Feeling just like jello.
The three dogs suddenly began dragging me towards a huge what building.
"Max, where are we going?"
I spat out.
He barked and nodded towards the building.
My head started to spin and my throat burned.
I felt dizzy.
"Hurry, I don't know how much longer he will live."
Great! I'm dying.
I thought and gasped for more air.
I was dragged for like an hour up stairs in an elevator to the 8th floor all the way down the hall,
then we entered the last doot on the left.
"Put him on the bed."
Max ordered.
I know this place...it's a hospital!
My eyes began closing again.
I feared it would be my last time seeing, hearing, breathing.
"We're losing him!"
Max barked.
Then I heard the door fling open.
I jumped, its another vampire.
"Hold on he should be good after this."
No, it was a doctor.
I felt blood pump into me.
I'm gonna live!
I'm gonna live!
I repeated as I felt stronger and stronger...colder too.
My heart stopped and my skin turned pale.
Yes! I thought. I'm a vampire again!
"But how?"
I asked the doctor, who of course, was a vampire.
"Easy, you've been bitten by a vampire already so we pumped poison into you,
now your a vampire again."
I smiled.
"So are humans exstincted now?"
"Pretty much...but we managed to save one."
"Really who?"
I asked excitedly.
"Oh, well she almost died a couple weeks ago, she a very beautiful young lady."
My eyes widend as I thought I knew what he was talking about.
"Her name?"
"I think it's like Lilly? No. Daisy? No..."
"Rose?"
"Yes, that's the one Rose. You know her?"
"No, I love her."
