Okay, yeah, politics. Boring, I know. And I know I don't usually post stuff like this in my journal, however today I feel the need. Last night the United States of America elected our first biracial president. As soon as I realized Barack Obama had won, I was overjoyed. I had wanted him to win the whole time, and I know we're ready for change. Also, although I can't vote yet, this has been the first election I've been really involved in. Four years ago I all I knew was Bush vs. Kerry and I supported Kerry because I didn't like Bush. However, this year I knew the candidates (Including those who lost the primaries) AND their VP picks, and I knew what each candidate stood for, and I was able to form my own opinions on who I supported and why. To conclude this weirdly formal and odd journal entry that doesn't even sound like it's coming from me: YES WE DID!
