Gino's Egg
Gino walked down the dirt road, heading for the towns. He had gotten Miss. Peanut-Butter's Adress from Rychi and was going so he could apologize. He was thinking of what to say, he was never the best at apologies. Miss. Peanut-Butter I am very very sorry for upseting you. No, no. Um...I feel awful for the grief I've caused? Thats no good.
He had spent so much time thinking of what to say that before he knew it he was standing in front of her house. He sighed and knocked on the door.
"Just a sec!" was heard from behind the door. The door opened and in it stood a very shocked looking Miss. Peanut-Butter.
"I came to say....I'm sorry for worrying you so much." said Gino. In an instant he was on the ground with the air being squeezed out of him by a Death-Hug.
"Oh, Gino! Im so so so sorry for hitting you! Please forgive me!" pleaded Miss. Peanut-Butter.
"Alright, I forgive you! Now can you let me breath?" Gino asked with a small smile. Miss. Peanut-Butter got up and helped Gino stand up. She gave him another hug, lucky for Gino it wasn't another Death-Hug.
"Can we go to the Harem HQ, now?"asked Miss. Peanut-Butter.
"Your asking? Miss. Peanut-Butter, you don't have to ask."
"I know. I was just wondering if you were alright with it. Oh, and you can call me Miss. P-B."
"Ok, Miss. P-B. Lets go, I have some one for you to meet." And with that they began to walk to the Harem.
------
Miss. Peanut-Butter sat in the library waiting for Gino to bring his "friend" back from Miss Momo's care. She sat tapping her fingers and looking around the room. She started getting flashbacks from the bug incident. She frowned and shivered. Now that was a horrible day. The library door opened and Gino walked in holding a cloth with a ball of fluff sitting on it.
"Here he is." Gino said smileing. He gently set the cloth and ball of fluff on the table in front of Miss. Peanut-Butter. She gasped.
"Oh my grapes!"
"What?"
"This..this bird is supposed to be extinct!"
"What do you mean?"
"This is the Great Golden Tailed Gambino Falcon!" Miss. Peanut-Butter exclaimed. Gino was silent. Great Golden Tailed Gambino Falcon? What the...
"Your great great great great great great grandfather discovered this species of bird. They were thought to be hunted to extinction within a year of discovery because of the beautiful golden tail feathers. The birds weren't losing them fast enough naturally so they were caught, killed and the feathers were pulled and sold. The meat of the falcon was used to. It was said to be a delicacy." Miss. Peanut-Butter stated in a matter-'o-factly voice.
Gino stared at her with the look of a two year old being taught advanced physics. Miss. Peanut-Butter blushed.
"What? I like reading, ok?" Gino looked at the baby bird and smiled. I was trying to think of a name. I think I found one.
"Johnny."
"Huh?"
"His name is Johnny." Gino looked happy. He had found a simple way to remember his father. Miss. Peanut-Butter sat back and pondered the name choice. She nodded and smiled as she watched Gino play with Johnny. All was well in the Harem.
