She had seen enough. She walked back into the house, following the blood trail back into her room. This is all a very funny dream. I'll wake up soon and it will all be normal again. She crawled back into bed, pulling the covers over her head again and shutting her eyes. Of course, if this isn't a dream- She opened her eyes and sat up in her bed. -then this is a very unrealistic and trajic turn of events. She looked around, then touched the stitches on her mouth and chest. Of course I'll have to change though. Dream or not, I don't like these clothes. And I'm also hungry.
After changing into something more comfortable, she headed back to the front of the house and into the kitchen. But what could she eat? Her mouth had been sewn shut. She spent several minutes looking around, then gave up and went back to bed. Drifting back into another deep sleep, she was not prepared for what would happen next.
"We tried to tell you." a voice called out. "Taste your vanity." She followed the voice deep withing the brush, off the beaten path. "Its sweet bitterness as you hide behind your veil of my stolen hopes and lost dreams." She looked around. The new voice seemed to be coming from a new direction. "I lust to see you swallowed by the mess that you left in your wake." The voice was eerie and far away, yet close at the same time. She turned and went back to the path, walking along it. "Beg me to make this easier and listen as my hopeless cries send stares into your meaningless eyes." The thought of this scared her even more. Her pace increased into a slow jog along the path. Where is this coming from? Who are they? Why am I here? Her mind raced faster than she could answer each question. "We hear your thoughts. Not one is safe." The voice let out a laughand screeched, reminding her of the ringing in her ears form earlier that night.
"As you build your dreams on my shattered hopes. I'll look back on a day once loved and fantasize for tragedy." The words sent chills through her. Feeling the dizziness set in again, down she went. "I close my eyes and you are everything I see. Goodbye." She closed her eyes. She shut them tight, hoping to wake up from this nightmare once again. Wake up wake up wake up wake up! She screamed inside her head. "You're no longer safe, there's no leaving now. You're already awake." She heard the footsteps coming to her. Opening her eyes, she saw where the voices were coming from. They had bruised faces, bloody and pale. Their touch pierced her skin, or was that the conducting another removal and sewing of her body again? She lost her conciousness once more.
