Happiness is a lie
Happiness is a lie, for it only leads to sadness and pain. It lures you in, like a sweet song, the source of which you seek with all you heart, all your strength only to become trapped in its web of pain, left with nothing but an empty and aching shell of a heart. Like a well laid trap, who’s sweet bait you cannot help but indulge in, But delighting in happiness, Savoring the flavor of love, That is all that is necessary to spring the trap, To send you crashing back, Back to the deep dark depths of despair and loneliness, A godforsaken labyrinth, into which not even the darkest, most intimidating incarnation of the devil dares, set foot, A primeval place where pain lurks around every corner, Where the only source of water are the tears that are you are damned to cry for all of eternity, A tiring twisting tunnel of torment, A tunnel that possesses no end, no exit.
And as for me, I am doomed to fall for every trick that this cruel, wretched, and sadistic vampire of a world hurls at me, in the hopes that one day someone will save me, and love me for the rest of my pitiful little excuse for a life. Someday she will come back to save me... my only fear being that she will return too late to rescue me from my unfortunate destiny.
