ok people...there are REASONS i call people "sweetie" 1. its not to single you out as a special person, although MAYBE sometimes that may be the case XD STORY TIME! rofl
when i was in middle school...i was not the most popular person. going to a private school, and it being NEW, there were not that many people in the class. but one time in 7th, maybe it was 8th..., grade, my friend(actually, a tempermentsal on-and-of friendship) came over while i was having trouble with...whatever i was doing...i have no clue...and she called me "sweetie". biggrin i have no clue why, but that one word made me feel fluttery, and cared for. i know how people could be having a bad day, and how one thing can turn it around. for me, and other peopel i have spoken to, it was that sincere word: "sweetie". i know this, because my BFF from my current school was having the worst day possible, because she wanted to break up with her boyfriend, and also felt bad about doing it. i called her "sweetie" at the beginning of me giving her advice. she looked at me, and she asked: "sweetie?" i responded accordingly, and she smiled for the first time that day.i knew it made her feel good. from that day on(last year), whenever i wanted to confort someone, or give advice, or say something nice when someone was having a bad day (that i could tell) i called them sweetie...other times i call sweetie force-of-habit...or i found another excuse to use that word..but i use it because i know how people always want to know they're cared for. ^^
