Yvaine had a big exam today at the academy. She left the apartment at around five a.m., leaving me alone with my thoughts for the next seven hours. I decided I would laze around in bed for an hour or two right after Yvaine left. After that, I forced myself to get out of bed and make some coffee. Following my coffee (six cups of it) and a quick shave, I finally put on some clothes: a nice flannel shirt and my favorite pair of worn-out jeans. I stuffed my wallet with the extra cash I had saved up for Yvaine's ring then shoved it into my back pocket. I threw on some socks and shoes then headed out the door. Three hours away from her left; I was royally ********. I wouldn't have time to find her the perfect ring in only three hours. So I decided I wouldn't be going out for it today. Instead, I would make it an extremely special day for her. I'd lift the tension of her exam from her shoulders and let her be the carefree girl she always is. So I stopped at the flower shoppe on my way to pick her up to get er favorite kind: white carnations and daisies. The cashier wrapped them in two separate bundles: the carnations in lack paper with a golden ribbon and the daisies in black paper with a blue ribbon. I left the shoppe with a huge smile and great pride in myself. And now I'm here leaning against the academy wall, waiting for her. Fifteen minutes until she's done. I ope she likes the flowers.
