Welcome ladies and gentlemen to a play,
not just any play though but a play called life,
I come in front of you on this stage to perform for you and yet it is only the end of the play you shall see.
I see a play as well tonight,
the play of life, your lives.
Faces full of it I can see,
all entertained,
clapping and laughing as if I was your jester
and yet nay for it is I who shall have the final life tonight.
I wear a mask and tonight that comes off to show you all,
for at least one my true face.
I’ve seen you all laugh at me, and scoff, when you see the real me
it is I who is laughing for I assure you that mine is a face
you wont soon forget.
Tonight it is I who laugh as you watch me go away
but I am terribly afraid this play as gone on too long,
as I take this pill and slit these veins I bid you all ado.
Laying here on a stage,
the sweet sent of life,
its gooey red warmth staining everything,
you all clapping at this amusement.
The darkness is setting in,
this is what I fear,
the darkness,
this cold feeling as soon the reaper of souls is to appear for me,
ah yes death my old friend it has been many a year
and yet tonight it is I who you come for,
your cold face, no smile from you tonight?
Ah no of cores not,
it is I who has ended thy own play, and for that there is to be no sorrow. As my final words death
I welcome thee and I invoke thee,
my soul is yours and on to the next play I am to get ready for,
a play called death.
