The thing on my foot wouldn’t budge, and it dragged me down deeper and deeper. It felt like a tentacle with a grip as tough as cement. I closed my eyes and fainted from no air.
I woke up in a jolty state. I was breathing. I sat up and looked at my surroundings. I was in a cave filled with air. A few feet off was a pool of water that must have linked to the lake. The rocks were a sea green but more of a blue color. Seaweed and other creatures dripped along the wall. I was sitting on an almost flat, long rock. There was a strange glow from the lake. Suddenly, something jumped out of the pool of water and onto the rocky surface of the cave. It was a creature that was like a merman but it had scaly arms and feet; and his feet were a mix of feet and fins. It was a head like a fish with scales and jagged teeth. It was pretty ugly; like an experiment gone wrong. It looked like a morphed fish and a human. It was his eyes that scared me the most. Its eyes were a dark yellow with a nasty look but a bit sad. The creature stared at me with cold eyes. The scales on its neck fluttered like it was trying to breathe in air after many hours of breathing in the water. It was bigger than me, but not by a whole lot. It moved closer to me. Before I knew it, the creature was about a foot away from me. Its eyes looked unbearably sad at me. With great caution, I steadily put out my hand and touched its forehead. The sea creature sort of purred like a cat would, but it was like a watery gurgle. Surprisingly, the scales didn’t hurt my hand as much as I expected. The eyes made me feel so sad deep, down inside, I gave the creature a, would be, hug. The scales made my arm bleed, but only a little. Then the creature glowed a bright gold, blinding me for a moment. When I looked back at the creature, it had morphed into a human. I recognized that red hair anywhere- Jason!
What is going on here? Why is Jason a-a sea creature? I wondered.
