Best day of my school life ever. Maybe.
So I went into the upper gym to get my class schedule for the new semester [all the classes are the same], and poof the lights went off. I wasn't really thinking about it at that time, just excited to see my class schedule. Only till I went to my locker, I noticed the power was out.
On to first period I went. Class started a few minutes late because of the commotion. In French class, we played bingo in a very dark classroom.
Second period and third period we learned, because it had big windows in the classrooms. In second period, one of the vice principal came in and said this power outage stretched down to two other high schools. In third period, the principal came in that we can be dismissed at 11:15.
At 11:15, the school was freed. Students packed the halls like it was last day of school. People talking on their cellphones, informing family and friends.
My friend and I walked around downtown, peering into darken stores and offices, seeing students from our rival school. We sat and talked near the library. Then we decide to leave, and found the power came back. We head to Safeway, so he can pick up a few magazines.
His mother came to pick us up, and we went to his house. We watched "Dodgeball" on this big screen TV. It was an okay movie. Left his house around 3. He wanted to go to the basketball game at our school. I didn't.
I came home and called my mother's workplace [because my father took our cellphones for something and I don't remember his number]. It was a good thing I called my mother at that time, because she would get off work soon. Told her the story.
I was suppose to wait at the library for my father afterschool. But power outage ruined things. [=
Oh and my brother didn't get out. Ha. Suckas.
So we only have one full day this week, if they don't turn our usual 1:20 dismissial on Friday to a full day.
