What is Love? - (My philosophy) |

The Webster's definition of love is: a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties.
You here that people, so every time you say "I love you" you're saying "I have a strong affection for you". But, don't you think there's more to love than that? Of course there is, we humans have made it so. We ourselves make our own definitions of love, so now we just have to ask what are differences between love, lust, and company.
~LOVE~
Love is something that's completely selfless. Love is when you only care about how that person feels and when you'll do anything to make them happy. Yes, so we do that with our friends to, but that's a good thing. What are friends if we don't love them? But love, love for someone who is more than just a friend, this love is different yet not a different type just stronger and with more romance. Yes, of course, what is love without romance? Without romance and passion, love will really be more of an affectionate thing as the most common one is. And, what is love without pain? Pain is huge part of love, pain can also be the most important part of love. Funny, I know, but without pain there would be no one to lift us up when we fall and no one to take care of us, no one to love us, because all the pain would be gone and we wouldn't need love. If you don't have all this, then where's the love? Without the whole package there is no love.
~LUST~
Now lust is very easy to confuse with love. You think that just because you made out or more means that your significant other loves you. And then something bad happens and it makes you realize that he/she never loved you at all. Now let me you tell you what lust is, lust is being with someone only to fulfill your desires and succeed in your own pleasure. It is like when someone only wants to be with you to have sex or some other lustful activity. And even with the huge difference that can easily pointed out all people still confuse this evil thing with love.
~COMPANY~
Now this one is not the most common to confuse with love,but can still happen. Of course we all now that company is what we have come over to the house to hang out, so were not completely bored. Now when it comes to relationships, company is when you're with someone just to be with someone or so you're not lonely. I truly think this is the worst you can do to someone, but it does happen and sadly I have done it in the past. And also being with someone just so you're not alone is worse than actually being alone.
