Behind the Facade ~ part one!
Cyprus La Ciel: The Living Shadow. That's what they called him, the famous robber. Cy was like a modern Robin Hood; taking from the rich and giving to the townsfolk. Though, he fit more to the title of the thief, seeing as he kept most things he had stolen. Cy was also a vampiric hybrid. Vampire from his father and Elven from his mother. He stood at a good height of five foot ten and was thin and lanky, like any other vampire. Though, what set in apart from the rest of the vamps, was his shining silver hair, which was obviously an Elven trait. Just by looking at him, you could tell he was skilled at his profession.
Being a thief, it be assumed he'd be a dark-hearted, cruel man. But in fact, Cy was totally the opposite; He was a kind person and usually gave a great deal of the money he got from his thefts to the townsfolk. Cy hadn't gone on a heist for some time now, he had noticed that his theivery was lessening. He used to go out about twice a week for a raid, but now it was only two or three times a month. He felt no need for it, and found it quite boring now. But, by any matter, he decided to go on one tonight, just for the heck of it.
He had picked out a small house near the edge of town. It was decorated expensively, so it must of had somethings of value in it, but no one was ever there. It seemed vacant but he could sometimes see a small light, probably from a candle, through a curtain.
Cy studied the floor plan. He had spent a few days, mapping out the entrances and windows. The candle that sat upon the table, cast jagged and ominous shadows on the wall as he stood from his seat. He walked from the library, upstairs to the main hallway. His hand dropped to the Goren Crest that sat on a chain, dangling over his shirt. It brought back a lot of memories, but he wore it anyway. He grabbed his hat and trench, leaving the house quietly.

Cy had entered town and was silently moving amongst the shadows, avoiding being caught. He lived on the other side of the forest, and was literally an outlaw in this town. To make this simplier, he lived in the forest near a different town. This town, however, was his favorite town to rob. There were a lot of rich folk. He pushed himself around a tree and his target come into sight. there was a movement in the curtain, and a flickering light that was extiguished. He waited, until he was sure the person was asleep. Silently, Cy krept up, swiftly moving from shadowed area to another. He checked a window. Unlocked. He opened it quietly and slipped though, shutting it almost all the way.
Moving stealthily, he stayed around the edge of the room. On a worn bookcase he found, surprisingly, only two books and a small chest. He picked up the books and stuffed them away in a bag, for further investigation. He used a small pocket knife to pick the loc and found a few gold coins hideen away. There was also a small ribbon with a silver bell attatched to it. He put the whole box into his bag, just because he didn't want to waste time digging though it. He turned, looking around. He was surpised on how small this place really was. And it wasn't to expensive looking after all. There was some peeling wallpaper and a lot of dust, everywhere. A shelf caught his eye and he went to investigate. Before he could make it there though, his coat snagged on a table and tripped him and sent him out of balance. He fell onto the couch and it gave a crunch, collapsing with a cloud of dust and other things. He cursed under his breath and got up. When he was nearly up all the way, he heard a small voice and a flickering light out of the corner of his eye.
"..W-Who's there?" He turned his head ever so slightly to see a girl, about sixteen, standing with a frightened look on her face. He quickly dived for the shadows and hid in them, blending. The girl stepped farther into the room. Cy studied her; She was fairly ragged looking, hair matted and face a bit dirty. She was also dressed in slave-like clothing. He frowned.
He slid to the other side of the room, behind her. He stepped on something and it caused her to jump, dropping the candle. To avoid anything further, he swiftly rushed up and caught her from behind, holding a hand over her mouth. She let out a muffled cry and squirmed some. Cy quietly leaned in a whispered something into her ear that caused her to fall into a deep-trance like sleep. He sighed, relieved.
Then he turned to see a blazing fire behind him where she had dropped the candle. He cursed again and picked her up into his arms. Cy paniced some, looking around for an exit. All of a sudden, part of the roof collapsed and there was his excape route. He jumped up and out, using a rafter for support. Before it could fall in any faster, he jumped to a different rooftop and stood, watching the towns-people come out to the burning house.

The Vampire was now at walking pace, moving through the forest and trying to avoid snow falling from the trees onto the girl in his arms. Cy had taken of his coat and wrapped it around her, so she wouldn't freeze in the winter weather. He was frustrated. He couldn't just leave her here, and taking her to his house would be to forward. He decided to stick around until she woke up. He came to a clearing, where there were a few large trees. Scaling one quickly, even with the girl in his arms, he rested in a branch higher off the ground. Cy avoided looking at her, seeing as it would cause him to start thinking about things that would develope into other things and so forth. Yes. He was a bit boderline paranoid sometimes. Instead, he stared up at the cresent moon. On Chirstmas, which would be in about five days, it would be full and big. It usually was when in winter, it matched the heavy blankets of snow that lined the ground.
He shifted some, being sure to hold onto the girl so she didn't slip from his grasp. He let his eyes wander down to look at her. He smiled some. She was some sort of hybrid, seeing as though she had Feline-like ears sticking out from the top of her head. He resisted the strong urge to touch them and blinked some. How could something so pretty be so...awful looking? She looked like she hadn't had proper care in a few weeks, maybe she was homeless or something. He sighed, a bit frustrated. With this, he let his eyes rest and slept some.

June stirred, feeling a cold wind around her. She looked around and then saw the sleeping figure of a silver haired man with his arm wrapped around her. She attempted to get from his grasp, but found it most futile, due to the fact that they were in a tree. June let out a surpised noise and the man gave a slight laugh, openeing an eye and smiling some.
" I was wondering when you'd notice. Now, We can return to ground level. Hold on, okay?" His voice calmed her some and she held fast around his neck. Cy stood and made his way down, with no trouble, even with June wrapped aroudn him. When back on the forest floor, she let go and backed away a bit. Cy gave a swift and elegant bow.
" My name is Cypus La Ciel. I'm so terribly sorry for the trouble I have caused you. I did not mean to burn down your home, nor did I kidnap you. I hope that you accept my deepest apology." With this said, he sighed some and returned to an upright postion. June swallowed some. He expected an upset loud voice, but hers was so quiet, he had to lean forwards some to hear her.
"..M-My name is Juniper Cross. Y-You didn't burn my house down.." She fidgeted some, pulling the coat he had lent her tighter. " I was only staying there.." Her gaze adverted.
Cy smiled some, stepping closer. " If you have any family or relatives, I'll be glad to take you there." He suggested. June shook her head.
" All of my family is dead.." She bit the corner of her lip. Cy couldn't just leave her here. It wasn't in his heart and he felt as though he was becoming attatched to her already.
" You could stay with me, miss June. It wouldn't be any trouble and I'd hate to leave you here with no where to go."
" R-Really? I..I don't want to cause you any burden.." She blushed some.
" There wouldn't be any problem. C'mon. I'll carry you, you seem tired as it is." He helped her up onto his back and he trudge off to the west towards his house.
