Okay, so it's another debate trip! Final one! At least until spring. xD Since Leah didn't come but Josh did, Josh needed a partner. So Phil had to be Josh's partner (aww ;; Phil!) so I was stuck with Angie. What's that sound you hear? A screech of terror! x.x
Okay. She can be nice. To an extent. But still, I don't think I could be her partner more then once. I'd kill her. I almost killed her this go. And we were stuck in novice since we're both first years (; ; I don't belong here, these people are stupid!) Which sucked. Okay yes it's easier to win, but these people don't know their left hand from their right. We went around in circles every debate. The first we might win, the second I have a strong feeling we won, and the third... we COULD have won if Angie didn't mess it up. That was like my best debate round ever >> And she's going to make us loose.
But that's jumping ahead.
I'll start from the beginning! So this morning I woke up at seven thirty to grab breakfast. I woke up ten minutes early actually to rain that pelted against my window. It came down so hard and fast all I could see was white. But then as soon as it came it stopped. So once it slowed and I got off the phone with mom I grabbed breakfast. I then came back and finished getting ready and was outside waiting for the bus ten minutes early. Or what I thought was ten minutes early. After twenty minutes of weighting I finally went to the debate room and talked to Angie. We went back outside and called Phil and it turned out we were leaving at nine thirty! >O BITCHES!
Finally Phil and Josh got there and I gave Phil his cake and card (HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHIL!!!) And then we all loaded into Dr. Koch's car because Capital sucked and wanted to give us a small card instead of a bus so we took Dr. Koch's. We made Angie ride b***h. ;3
I studied the case then fell asleep against the window. Close to Lexington my arm hit the button that opens the window and I spazzed out. ; ; They won't stop teasing me! It was funny though. So now we're in Kentucky Lexington, Transylvannia University (oooh spooky!). Stopped at CB for lunch then went to TU to start. It was so cold! The first debate was with TU students. It was their first debate ever. Two guys. It was horrible. We did a counter value, but they didn't understand it and so it was a really confusing debate. The judge kept doodling! >O
That one is up in the air. If I have it my way it be a double loss, just because it was so freaking confusing!
The second round was with another TU group. Turns out they're debate students and this is their exam. HAHA!
They were super nice though, I liked them. I had a blast debating them. We were affirmative (previous one we were negative) which I prefer. Affirmative you have more control. I'm pretty sure we won this one. We then went to our third. Patrick Henry. I hate those guys. x.x Those and Bob Jones. -shiver- FREAKS OF NATURE!
Okay not really. But annoying. Specially PH. They take it SOOOOO seriously. They want to kill. They're out for blood! -runs and hides-
We were negative. Bad start. I tried to put us in the right direction, but Angie kept messing us up. She even admitted hse screwed up. And I was about to slam my head into the table until it exploded. I kept telling her what to say and do and she kept doing the opposite. If she said what I wanted her to we would have won. That one I will be surprised if we win. >> But I did my best. I had so much control when I went up there. I hope I get good speaker points at least.
We then went to Denny's for dinner. The waitress kept messing up our order. But she was nice. Now we're at the Sheraton. It's nice. I get my own bed. YAY! I called mom. I guess the wind was so strong today that it knocked a tree over and it fell into the pool! So the insurance guy is coming by next week. Sigh. Dad just got in a car accident and we have to deal with that. I swear, like mom said, God is testing us. x.x" -die-
Things have been hectic. I can't wait for winter break. I need to relax. UGH!! Oh well, I'm looking forward to Ohayocon with David. It'll be nice. I can't decide if I should cosplay though and what it should be. >> Big boobs make it really hard to cosplay. OH!!! DUDE!! X.X I THINK I KNOW WHO I'M GOING TO COSPLAY!! -squeal-
That's a surprise though. AH HA!
Anyways, that's my debate trip. Now I'm going to bed cause we have to wake up at six in the morning. UGH!!
