In the small town of Midnight Grove people were very strict about their rules and very predictable. Everyday the men went to work, the women got the children ready for school and took care of household problems, the children went to school, then everyone came home for dinner and family time. That's just how it was. Well they also sent the gods anything they wanted so that the gods would remain happy. Every month the gods would meet and decide what they wanted from the people then send a message down to the Mayor of the town so that they could carry out the gods wishes. Normaly it was just things like animals, food, or some sort of material thing. The day of the God's message the news surprises everyone. The Gods require ten girls that would be sutuable for wives. Every girl is frightened because they don't know what to expect. After hours of searching the Mayor found the ten girls that he thought would be pleasing to the gods. The instructions were to take them to the abandoned castle on the hill and lock them in so that the gods could choose their wife. This may seem like they had decided on who, but things can always change. Will the gods be pleased, will they fall for a girl other than their betrothed? or will they simply toss the girls aside and forget all about it?
