- Title: Eelmaiden of the Deep
- Artist: Skrymmorie
- Description: A variation on the typical mermaid, this is my eelmaid. Unlike merpeople, they can only be found in the deepest depths of the ocean. They are all female. They reproduce asexually and aren't mammalian. They are related distantly to merpeople, which is where their human half comes from. I drew this ages ago, but never got around to coloring it. Decided to try a newer style for me in coloring. I like how it came out. Comments and constructive critiques are welcome. Enjoy! Made in Photoshop

- Very nice. though one thing In highlighting it is always best to not go for the easy dodge and burn tool. It makes it seem like you have no sense in highlighting so next time use the highlights of different colors the pose is great and its very nice peice. Just concider the highligting next time.

- I gave a four. I interpreted the eelmaid to be bioluminescent aka, lit from within the body, rather than by the sunlight filtering down. At the same time, the rippling effect produced by the color variations was seen as suggesting the water around her. The dark background hints that this is no shallow-water dweller. I like it overall, but the hair, to me, wants further detailing. The hands are perfect, I think.
