• Kira and Wolfgang are sitting in Wolfgang's cave.

    Kira goes over and snuggles in Wolfgang's chest.

    Wolfgang is surprised, and then he wraps his arms around Kira.

    Kira says:
    Please don't die. I don't want you to die.

    Wolfgang sighs.

    Wolfgang says:
    Well I...

    Kira says:
    Please.

    Kira starts to tear up.

    Wolfgang lets go of Kira.

    Kira looks up at Wolfgang.

    Kira says:
    What's a matter?

    Wolfgang says:
    Nothing, it is just, I don't love.

    Kira says:
    So?

    Wolfgang says:
    I can't love you; I never loved any one. I don't even know how. It just seems like something that I don't need to know. All my life I have hated, never even one friend. Then you come along and you are the only one that does not me dead. You try to help me, but in the end there is nothing that you are helping. I am nothing.

    Kira laughs.

    Wolfgang looks down at Kira.
    Wolfgang says:
    What are you laughing at?

    Kira says:
    You are ******** retarded.

    Wolfgang says:
    What the hell did you say?

    Kira says:
    I mean if you think that you are nothing.

    Kira moves back so she is about 2 feet from Wolfgang.

    Kira says:
    You are not nothing. You are special; you're half wolf. And I don't take to many boys, just my friend Onaga and now you. So just, shut up about being nothing. You should not think the way you do. Someday you will find that one and only girl. You will love her and you will forget about your old thoughts. You know I wish you could just forget about those thoughts now, 'cause it would be so much better for you. Believe me, I know.

    Wolfgang says:
    Right you know my feelings, my thoughts, and my pain.

    Wolfgang scoffs.

    Kira says:
    I've been through worst. I have been in just about 50 battles, small, and big. I have lost my family in those battles. I saw my brother being tortured right in front of my eyes and I couldn't stop it. I heard him scream, bleed, and then die. They kept him alive for 2 months. The longest 2 months of my life. I may not be part wolf or have a bullet in my leg but I have been through a lot. Plus I have all the scars to prove it.

    Wolfgang says:
    I... did not know, I'm sorry. I...

    Kira says:
    Don't. Sorry does not help the past or the pain. All sorry is to me is just someone feeling sorry for me, they think that the pain is too much that it is ruining me. Sorry is just their way of doing "their" part of trying to help me get better.

    Wolfgang moves closer to Kira. When he reaches her, he wraps his arms around her body.

    Kira starts to tear up. She sniffs.

    Wolfgang dries Kira's tears with his fingers. He holds onto her as if she is precious to him.

    Wolfgang says:
    Well then, I hope your pain goes away soon. I don't want you to end up having thoughts like mine.

    Kira looks into Wolfgang's black night sky eyes.
    She sighs quietly and then she closes her eyes. She leans her head on him.

    Kira says:
    Thank you.

    Wolfgang smiles and closes his eyes

    Wolfgang says:
    You're welcome.

    Kira falls asleep and then wakes up when Wolfgang moves. She lifts her head from his chest and looks at Wolfgang.

    Kira says:
    Are you okay?

    Wolfgang looks at Kira lovingly.

    Wolfgang says:
    Yeah, I'm okay. My back was aching a little

    Kira says:
    I'm sorry.

    Wolfgang says:
    Why, there is nothing to be sorry for.

    Kira says:
    Well you let me sleep on you chest and you did not move anyway at all last night, so it is my fault that your back aches you now.

    Wolfgang laughs and wraps his arms around Kira.

    Wolfgang says:
    No, it was not you fault. I had a great night. I never really move in my sleep, the only reason why my back is hurting is when I was a wolf. I ran into a log that was, I thought, above my head but it was lower than my back. So I hit the log will going around, oh I don't know maybe, 30 miles per hour.

    Wolfgang laughs.

    Kira becomes surprised.

    Wolfgang says:
    What?

    Kira says:
    You can run that fast?

    Wolfgang says:
    Yes.

    Wolfgang laughs again.

    Kira gets up and walks out side. She takes a deep breath. She hears a noise off in the distance. A few seconds later she hears a twig snap a few feet to her left. She turns to the noise. A boy rushes to her and hugs her.

    Kira says:
    Onaga, what are you going here?

    Onaga lets go of Kira. He looks at her as a brother would look at his sister that he has not seen or heard from for a long time.

    Onaga says:
    Well what do you think? I have not seen you since you left for your walk on Wednesday. To day is Saturday, so what do you think I would do. I went looking for you yesterday. I am glad I found you Kira...

    Onaga stops talking right in the middle of his sentence. He looks at Wolfgang who is coming out of the cave while buttoning a new shirt on.

    Kira notices that Onaga stopped and sees that he is looking over her shoulder and she turns around.

    Wolfgang stops his buttoning and stares at Onaga.

    Onaga says:
    Kira who is this?

    Kira turns around to face Onaga.

    Kira says:
    Um, that is Wolfgang. Onaga please be nice to him.

    Onaga says:
    Who said that I would be rude?

    Kira says:
    Every guy that looks at me.

    Onaga forced laughs. He walks over to Wolfgang.

    Wolfgang stares at Onaga.

    Onaga reaches Wolfgang.

    Onaga says:
    So how did you meet Kira?

    Wolfgang says:
    I was shot in my leg and she helped me heal.

    Onaga laughs.

    Onaga says:
    So why were you shot?

    Wolfgang says:
    I'm half wolf, wouldn't it be great to kill the famous wolf boy?

    Kira sighs and walks over to the two boys.

    Kira says:
    Why don't you two...

    Onaga stops her.

    Onaga says:
    We are leaving Kira. Get your backpack and
    then we will leave.

    Kira says:
    But...

    Onaga says:
    Now!

    Kira sighs and then goes back in the cave.

    Wolfgang turns around.

    Onaga says:
    Stop.

    Wolfgang stops and turns around and looks at Onaga annoyingly.

    Wolfgang says:
    What? That is my cave, I live there so I can go in there whenever I want. So what do you want?

    Onaga says:
    If I find out that you touched Kira, I will personally see to it that you are killed slowly.

    Wolfgang laughs

    Wolfgang says:
    Yeah as if I would, all I wanted to do when she came to me was to die. She wanted me to live. So think about this, I don't want to live in this world but she was the only thing that kept me alive this long. While still having a bullet in my leg.

    Kira comes back out of the cave to find that the two boys are arguing.

    Onaga says:
    Well I don't care about your life, I care about Kira.

    Kira walks up to them

    Kira says:
    I'm ready.

    Onaga says:
    Alright then lets go.

    Onaga starts off.

    Kira turns to look at Wolfgang.

    Kira says:
    Will I ever see you again?

    Wolfgang says:
    I don't think so. I don't live with
    people. Sorry.

    Kira looks down at her feet.

    Kira says:
    But...

    Wolfgang leans over and gives Kira a kiss. He stays on her lips for a while. He then lets go.

    Kira looks at Wolfgang and smiles.

    Kira says:
    Goodbye.

    Kira waves to him while walking away.

    Wolfgang smiles and sighs.
