• Overwhelming pain stung Kenkei Kieto. He threw his hands to the area of pain and held his breath. He lifted his arms panicly up to show his hands. The eerie darkness around him, the school, and his attacker made it difficult to see, but Kenkei could tell what had practicly devouered his hand.
    "Blood," he murmered in a hushed voice. He swallowed hard and let out, "Why? Why Amaru?"
    "Isnt it obvious, weakling?" Amaru replied in a sinister tone. Amaru Takari used to be Kenkei's friend, until the day Kenkei had won the katana. This katana was special in that it was sacred to the city in which the two live. The founder, Kimatu Zitari, used it to fight for independence against the main clan, the Akuste. The leader then formed a new clan named Sine Exitus, meaning Without End. Members of Sine Exitus, and other clans, were born with special abilities. These "abilities" are based on the basic elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Darkness, and Lightning. After birth, the future knight must find Elemental Pyramids to choose their element(s) and then to amplify them. The katana that Amaru and Kenkei had competed over had the element of Water and Lightning. Water and Lightning was the elements that Amaru was training under and Kenkei was training under Storm, or Water, Lightning, and Air. Winning the katana had caused Amaru to hate Kenkei.
    "What? 'Cause I won the Katana of Zitari?" Kenkei threw at him.
    "You knew I wanted it, Kenkei Kieto. Knowing that I wanted it made you want it. You've always wanted to beat me!"
    "No! I wanted it 'cause I am under similar training as you are, Amaru Takari! I wanted it to make me stronger!" Kenkei barked.
    "Bull, Kenkei, Bull! Now die!" Amaru yelled, lifting up his claymore. Kenkei worked as fast as he could, he ripped the kunai from his side and flung it at Amaru's leg. It barely hit Amaru and threw him off. It gave Kenkei enough time to stagger to his feet and draw the Katana of Zitari.
    "I'll kill you, Kenkei Kieto." Amaru breathed. Amaru swong his blade towards Kenkei. Even injured, Kenkei was too fast. Kenkei blocked Amaru's slash and lift his leg up slowly. He then kicked Amaru back, sending Amaru a few steps back. Kenkei charged the Zitari Katana with a Lightning flare. Kenkei leaped into the air and flashed his eyes to a white. Kenkei's eyes change colour with his element. White eyes for Air, yellow for Lightning, and blue for Water. Kenkei spun the air around him until it become a small twister. He manipulated the conjured twister to take him into it. Amaru stared in disbelief. "What in hell, Kenkei? How are you this strong already?"
    "Instead of forcing myself into a ball of hatred," Kenkei began, shifting his eyes to blue," I force myself to become stronger so that I can defend my loved ones and my clan."
