• After finding this out Natara let him go and said pulling him up onto his feet and erasing his memories of the event," Go to the third room on the right on the fourth floor and ask for Kevin Meyirs.     The vampire left the room and Natara sat back down on her chair thinking to her herself (I haven't really made anyone angry lately. Well, maybe the White Cloud group on a couple of occasions such as today and the Battle Lion group might have a reason for this since I was the one who helped take down their beloved Jungle arena.)
    A shiver creeped up her spine at the thought and Natara found herself drifting off, even though she wasn't usually very sleepy.
    The door creaked open and the vampire waltzed back inside.
    (How'd he get in here anyways? My room takes an eye scan that scans every part of the eye to make absolutely sure who it is which it has to be someone in the Rogue Unit high up or a Regulator.) Thought Natara.
    A mere second after the thought crossed her mind the vampire shifted shape and was a vampire no more. No, he hadn't been a new vampire, he was an absorber. Meaning all he had to do was touch you and he could absorb all or some of your powers and shape depending on how long the contact lasted and he could only keep that power and shape for a limited amount of time.
    When he was done shifting he was taller, about 6'9 from his previous 5'5 and he now had blond hair and red eyes when before he'd had curly black hair and green eyes. He also looked like he was nineteen maybe a little older.
    He walked up next to her desk and made a chair materialize from the shadows so he could sit down.
    Natara glared at him as he used her powers for something so trivial. She'd touched his chin for a few minutes and he'd touched her arm before too so he'd probably absorbed half her power.
    Sighing loudly the absorber made himself comfortable and said in a breezy voice which was now much different than his gruff one," Now let’s stop playing games Natara. I'm here to….what's the word? Ah, yes recruit you into the service of the Battle Lion group. Though this has been a sad set of events. I've been outside your door since I left and let me say it took you long enough to guess the truth."
    Natara opened her mouth and feeling the numbness of it said in a kind of garbled voice," You were deceiving me the whole time…but how did I not sense your shadow outside my door?"
    The absorber chuckled and said," Well, I just used your powers against you. Now back on subject, you should be knocked out by now since we gave you enough juice to knock out a bull."
    Natara thought about this and groaning said in realization," The mosquito."
    The absorber nodded and continued," Since you were unfamiliar to us, we didn't use too much for an SP. You must have a very good immunity though seeing how long it has been to take affect now."
    Natara tried to reach her powers but even they had abandoned her now and slowly her eyelids dropped and she fell into sweet unconscious peace where only her partial memories could greet her.
    Chapter 2
    Davien watched as the girl slumped in her seat and putting a hand on her wrist he absorbed some of her shadow powers, the energy felt like a warm silk sliding over him as he let the power cover his body.
    When he was satisfied with the amount he'd taken, he used the vampire powers that he'd absorbed from one of the night janitors in the building and teleported to the train station since he didn't have enough to get him and the girl back to his own office building where there was a bus awaiting the new volunteers, who would then be transported in a bus to his leaders headquarters.
    Getting onto the train he sat down in a seat and positioned Natara so she looked like she was asleep leaning against his shoulder. Then he used the powers that he'd gotten from her to change her body to a younger state as if she were 12 years old and transformed his own features so that he now looked like her father instead of like an older brother. Darn it being nineteen wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.
    No one really looked their way for the small portion of the trip and when the bus stopped at Leonard station he picked her up in his arms like a father would and got off the train.
    He made it out of the station easily and then walked a block to his office building where a long yellow bus sat waiting.
    He got on, nodding to the driver and placed Natara on the second seat near a window and buckled her in.
    After he'd settled her in Davien walked over to the driver and said," Be kind to the achluomancer. I have a vested interest in her and so does the employer."
    The driver nodded and said smoothly," Is she to grace the arena or the field?"
    Davien nodded slowly and said," It will be up to the plans they are setting higher up." Davien looked around at all the other knocked out SP teens and laughing said," Her and all these other misfits to our race." With that said Davien walked off the bus and into his office building.
    (Maybe, she'll win but I probably shouldn't have said that I had a vested interest. Oh well, I doubt they'll think anything of her. I, myself almost thought she was just as she appeared to be.) Thought Davien as he heard the bus slowly take off into the traffic that was Lotus city, OR.
