That's the reason why they chased us out here in dead space, to eliminate the chief, not to mention us aswell.
    We met back with our squad who already escorted the chief to the captain. I then explained to sarg about how the covenant were after the chief, but he already knew. He told me, while i was sleeping the captain announced that we're going to lure an advance force of covenant away from earth with the master chief.
    I was shocked that nobody told me this sooner, especially Dom who was with me when we saw his files everywere. As I was thinking bout our situation, we felt a thrust onboard the ship. "Alert the covenant have sent in boarding parties, our engines are in critical condition, all personal evacuate imidiately." Cortana was saying over the emergancy channel. Sarg said the life pods were one floor below us. "Looks like were taking the stairs." commented Kevin, another squad member.
    It got a lot harder once we reached the stair, for at the bottom were more covenant. There were about twelve total, five elites an the rest were grunts. The only thing we could do was a headon assualt. "All non-armed personal evacuate imidiaty, combat teams hold back and protect non-armed personal." Intructed captain Keyes over the intercom. "If were gonna protect non-armed personal then we might aswell get rid of this group of skittles down here." Markus, another squad member added. "Markus take a look down there, were out numbered by about seven." Kevin said bluntly. Sarg said shut it and started thinking of a way to take out the enemy below.
    I then noticed that two elites and four grunts disperssed from there group. I then pointed that out and we waited for a few minutes to make sure the ones that left were gone. Sarg then ordered us to spread out and fire on command. He gave us the order and we all unleashed a barrage of bullets on the unsuspecting covenant. Once they were killed we proceded to the life pods. "Hold it, we need to wait for any unarmed personal." said sarg. Before i could say anything Kevin asked sarg about going back and escorting personal. Although he didn't like the idea of our squad splitting up he agreed and decided that he an I should go. I nodded my head in agreement and left with Kevin to find anyone else trying to evacuate.....
