She moved on silent feet, no rustle of leaves or snapping twigs. Tears slipped down pale, moon kissed cheeks. Her hair, a cloak of white silk falling past her waist to dance gracefully in the evening breeze. Pain, her constant companion, piercing her heart as she raced through the moonlit forest heading to nowhere in particular. Danger stalked her every step as further and further she progressed through trees and thatch. And then she stopped, her small hand pressed tight against her throat as though to protect it from the beast that pursued her without reprieve or remorse.
He stood before her, proud and dark. His eyes were fearsome as they held her silvery gaze. He did not speak aloud, he didn't have to, his eyes were the mirrors to his soul. As she gazed into the fiery depths of piercing silver eyes, she felt herself slip further and further into the well of cold intent that he masked well from the world. His hands were gentle as he pulled her close and sampled the sweetness of her moon warmed blood. Here was a treat for a ravaged soul to bask in. One hand circled her tiny waist, the other buried itself in silvery silk, holding her in place as her life's sweet nectar nurtured his damaged soul.
Life's spark left her once vibrant blue eyes as she slipped from her earthbound form into the wisps of moonlight sparkling through the forest's emerald roof.
