The wind chilled my frost-bitten face as I trudged along the barren landscape. A snow hawk flew majestically over my frozen scalp, just inches away from my hair. When I noticed the snow hawk, I yanked out my tranquilizer and, with careful aim, pulled the trigger. The icy spear shot through the frigid air. I watched as the dart found it's mark. It struck the bird somewhere in it's abdomen and it plummeted to the snow. When I got to where it landed, I pulled out the dart and put a cap on it. Quickly shoving the dead lump of meat into my bag,I put my tranquilizer back into the holder on my belt. I glanced up at the sky and saw that dark, trecherous clouds were rolling in at speeds of about ten miles-per-hour.
And then, it happened.
As the clouds were forming, I thought I saw a blood-stained face.Soon the entire sky was smothered and no light shone through. Lightning struck and the ground shook like mad.Suddenly, the madness ceased but the dark clouds started to swirl. I might have been hallucinating but I think that inside the vortex, creatures were falling and landing in the snow. They looked like creatures of other times and other places. In short, they were not of this world. They began raiding and i pulled out my binoculars and saw when the creatures took a step, there was a ring of flames around their feet. Thus leaving the ground blackened and charred. And they continued to fall from the sky. The monsters were ripped but very clumsy and were tripping over eachother and tumbling in the snow. Then leaving it dark. They raged on the land, permanently blistering the earth. I had to take action. I grabbed my pistol and sped into the monster's direction. As I ran, I heard battle cries and shrieks like I never heard before. These things wanted to fight. I stopped because I thought it would have been better to actually live. So I took a Bazooka in the other hand. And continued to sprint. I screamed while I ran. Then I noticed that most of the things were clutching the sides of their heads. I then figured out that high pitched sounds were brutal to their odviously small minds. While putting my pistol in the pack, I pulled out a dog whistle. I blew and blew like there was no tomorrow. The things howled in pain and agony. I bellowed with laughter. I laughed so hard my sides split. I strode over to where the creatures were shrieking and I inspected them. Since I was closer, I got a better look at these hideous things. Their heads were mishapen in random silly figures. Their arms were black with a blood-red stripe down the center. Every one of them had a red "X" on their chest and their legs were the same as the arms. When I put the pieces together, I realized they were aliens. I grabbed a frozen twig off the snow. I jabbed the alien with it and it burst into flames. In then looked at their feet and saw they were charred and were oozing pink blood. I slowly turned around and threw up.
