What three wishes
“You can have three wishes.” Are words that man wishes to hear. Everybody wants three wishes that can grant you anything you want. What does a man do with three wishes? Do they go for the selfish path and choose the wishes that they feel best suits them. They could get for the simiselfish path and wish for someone they can’t live without. They could go for selfless path and wish for world peace. What separates men from gods is the fact that gods wish for only three things. The ability to help others, superior abilities, and a reason to find what it’s all worth.
It was a bright and sunny afternoon with people outside doing various things. Kids were playing with water while older people worked on the garden or jogged to get exercise. The area was quiet and peaceful with the sunshine and water running. Plants were growing and water was going thru its cycle. Animals tried to stay inside to avoid the monster heat outside and decided to loaf to take up time. Everybody was talking about the person that was visiting town and why he could be there.
A man in forest camo was in town looking for something and he decided to ask around to try and find out where the object of his search was. He was looking for somebody owning a small black stone with a hole that could fit a hexagon in it. Most people didn’t know about it but a few people did. Most people pointed to the “Much’s” house. It was hard to find but eventually the man in the camo found it.
The usual “ding dong” rang the house and a tall woman answered. She wore a pink t-shirt and green sweat pants. “Hello Mrs. Much.” The man in the camo said politely. “Hello there. I hear you have been asking about my mother’s stone.” The woman said sweetly. “Yes, I have. So it belonged to your mother?” the man in the camo, Drake, asked. “Yes. I know it must seem odd but she did own it. Now your interest is the missing stone right?” Mrs. Much asked. “Yes, that is what I came here for.” Drake said. After a few minutes of conversation Mrs. Much invited Drake in to avoid the heat.
The house had many dark paintings around it with pictures of beautiful women inside each one. Each picture held a beautiful life inside with eyes that seemed to watch you. Drake sat down and Mrs. Much sat opposite him, a perfect place to strike if he found out too much. Mrs. Much didn’t offer Drake anything because she knew that he would refuse. “Now what do you want to know about the stone’s missing piece?” Mrs. Much asked Drake.
“Well I have the piece right here.” Drake said pulling out a thin and short rod that glowed a purple that was almost sinful. “Wow it’s lovelier up close.” Mrs. Much said reaching out her hand to grab it. Drake saw a flash of blue out of the corner of his eye and he pulled it away. “I’m sorry but you will have to show me the heirloom first. I know how fragile these are.” Drake said. “Oh yes silly me. Mother would come back to haunt me if I messed up the stone.” Mrs. Much said and she got up but took a second to look at the picture to the side of Drake. “That’s what I saw.” He said looking at a beautiful woman with pricing blue eyes.
Mrs. Much got the stone and placed it on the table separating Mrs. Much from Drake. “Check it to make sure.” Mrs. Much said sweetly. Drake compared the stone to the piece. “Yes it fits. It’s a shame my husband isn’t here to see this. He always wanted to see one of these.” Mrs. Much said. ‘Yes I bet he would. It was a shame killing him. I think he was right about you.’ Drake thought. Drake carefully put the rod in the stone making sure not to damage.
The stone glowed with the same light as the rod and Mrs. Much seemed to enjoy it very much. Drake turned his eyes in time to see the painting turn its eyes to look at the stone. “Honey comes down here! You will want to see this!” Mrs. Much yelled. A woman in a black dress and blond hair come down. “Wow it’s awesome!” the young woman yelled. Drake saw that she had a dagger attached to a part around the bottom of the dress. Mrs. Much looked at her daughter and said “put on some makeup. Don’t go the prom like that.” Mrs. Much’s daughter went back to her room.
