• Gracie hopped out of the car and strode toward me. She was wearing a dark green sweater with a red scarf,
    "Very festive," I observed, chuckling.
"Why thank you, Mrs. Anti-Christmas!" she said twirling around to show me the full effect, "Where's Johnny." I shrugged and pretended I didn't care,
    "Psssshaw, I ... uh, I dunno'."
"I heard my naaame!" Johnny sang as he put his big, muscular, tan hands on my shoulder and jumped,
"Ooow! I'm not Mrs. Muscle! Off, off, off, off!" I cried laughing and pretty much falling on the ground with him on my back.
"Really?" he joked poking the flab on my upper arm, "I couldn't tell!" I laughed and pushed him away. I knew that if he stayed that close it would only be a matter of time before I lunged and started to make out with him,
"Gift opening!" Mom shouted from inside. Johnny got up and ran in, but Gracie and I stayed back,
"Roxi," Gracie muttered, smiling and looking somewhat like the grinch, "I think you liiiiiike him!" she danced around and waved her hands in the air. No dip-s**t, Sherlock.
"No, really? What do I do?" I asked taking her by the shoulders and stopping her,
    "Um, isn't it obvious?"
"Ignore my feelings?" I took a guess. Sue me.
"Um, I thought I was the blond! Heeeello? Just ask him out! Or better, kiss him, giiiirl!"
"You are such a flirt." I laughed and walked in, still holding her shoulders, so that she wouldn't run away.
"Here's your present." Gracie said reaching into her pocket with some difficulty. I finally let go and took the small box. It was a small locket with the words "I heart you beary much." inside was a picture of a bear. Cheesy. But sweet.
"Hey, Roxi! I forgot to give you my present." Johnny said. His dark, mossy green eyes sparkled in the star light, "I, uh, I hope you like it."
    Then,
    He did something.
    Amazing.
He kissed me. He threw me down and kissed my lips urgently. But, at the same time... it was gentle.
