• My life has been full of bad luck ever since I can remember. After my Mom died when I was eight more and more bad things happened to me. Like getting knocked off my bike, breaking my arm by just falling down a few steps, or just being able to see ghosts. I started to be able to see ghosts a year after my Mom passed away. At first I just thought I was imagining things. Then they started to talk to me, they would ask what happened to them, who I was, and where they were. The first time it happened I was only nine, and I just stood my back flat against my bedroom door trying so hard to hold back a scream. The ghost was of a little girl about five-years-old with cute little blonde curls, and big blue eyes. There were tears in the corners of her eyes that had yet been shed.
“I want my Mommy,” The girl said. I pushed against the door even harder. The girls eyes were now little slits. “Where’s my Mommy!” She screamed. The mirror over my dresser began to shake, my mattress jumped side to side, and the windows shook so hard that I was afraid that they were about to break. The tears spilled over and she cried a loud cry. I could feel a pressure forming in the room. I gritted my teeth and squeezed my eyes shut tight.
“I want my Mommy!” Her hands were balled into two little fist. I bit my lower lip trying to think of what to say. I could tell her the truth; that I had no idea where or who her Mom was, or I could just tell her a huge fat lie. I released my lower lip and stood up straight.
“I don’t know.” I whispered. The little girl sniffed, closing her eyes, and shaking her head.
“Yes you do,” My mirror shaking even more. My eyes grew wider with every thud that the mirror sounded against the wall. “Your hiding her from me.” She cried. All I wanted was to be left alone, but I didn’t know what this girl was capable of. I slide down against the door my eyes starting to sting. I wanted all this to stop. I just want to crawl under my covers and disappear.
“Where’s my Mommy.” She whispered evilly. I gripped the knob of the door readying myself to run if need be.
“I don’t know…I swear.” I whimpered. She gave me an evil smirk. I twisted the knob and was about to throw the door open and sprint down the stairs to safety.
“You better tell me or something bad might happen.” My mouth drops open and I felt myself being to panic. I gripped the knob so hard that my knuckles were turning white. I looked around for something to defend myself with. Then it hit me, this girls dead nothings going to hurt her.
“Please…I really don’t know where your Mom is.” She stopped smirking.
“You don’t?” I nodded easing my grip on the knob.
“Sorry I don’t.” The girls face fell, and more tears began to fall. I released the knob and kneeled down in front of the little girl.
“Hey don’t cry. What’s your name?” I asked. She sniffed and wiped her eyes with the back of her ghostly hand.
“My name? It’s Molly.” She said as transparent tears slide down her cheeks. I let out a sigh of relief and went to grab her shoulders. And was surprised to see that they made contact.
“But you’re a ghost…how can I be touching you…?” She let out a series of sniffs
“I don’t know you’re the only one that can see me.” She said. I looked her straight in the face seriously confused.
“What do you mean the “only one?” I asked. She cover her mouth with her hand trying to cover up her fit of giggles.
“All I know is that when I tried to get my Daddy’s attention or anybody else’s, they didn’t see me.” I released her shoulders and rubbed my face. I jumped up and let my arms fall to my sides, closing my eyes.
“Okay I’m going to wake up right…now!” I let my eyes flew open, but still saw Molly in front of me.
“Nope still here.” She said smiling a toothy grin. I let out a groan, and gripped the edge of my dresser steadying myself.
“This has to be a dream…!” I whispered. Molly tilted her head looking up at me through a wave of curly hair.
“Why?” She asked seriously. I stared down and let my mouth fall open.
“Why…,” I said totally baffled. “You can’t be serious. A person seeing a ghost isn’t normal.” I said standing up straight. I looked at myself in my crocked mirror and sighed. I guess I could go as a crazy person if I crunched up my hair and drooled all over myself gonk I thought.
