“Where am I…?” I asked as I opened my eyes to the unfamiliar scene. I was wrapped in a cocoon of wings of light, the shape of an egg. I was drifting through…nothingness? I sat in the egg, staring at empty space I was floating in; trying to remember anything.
I looked at myself, light purple hair rested on pale bare shoulders, small perfect hands touched my smooth face, and I had long legs that covered my chest where I could feel the beating of a heart. I remember now, I had just fallen asleep against auntie Rikko’s chest as her pretty, long wings warmed me, then what? What happened next to get me here?
Suddenly the voice one of the elders could be heard. “So you’ve woken, eh?”
I looked around, searching for its whereabouts, the voice just chuckled. “You won’t find me in there, little one,” he explained. “You are alone; I am sending you to earth.”
“Alone…” I don’t like the word, it’s sad. It frightens me.
I can picture the elder smiling, “Don’t fret, you are there to study about the humans. You must learn to make people happy, to solve their problems, do you understand?” he asked.
“Yes…” I nodded. “I will make people happy, that is my job as an angel.”
I smiled as I descended closer to the big blue sky, wondering what awaited me. People will be happy…
