- Shaking slightly from a dormant emotion that has yet to be discovered, she looked around almost out of paranoia. Rubbing her eyes with her fists, she felt her heartache. She did not know why and was puzzled. She probably does know, but does not want to face facts. Flexing her fingers and cracking her knuckles one at a time. Stretching her fingers as if to expect them to instantaneously grow three inches longer before her eyes. She folded her arms, then unfolded them, they swung by her hips. She cracked her wrists then refolded her arms. Then she noticed it. A person staring at her. She walked closer to realize it was her reflection in the long mirror in the empty room at the end of the hall way. Smiling to assure herself nothing was wrong she turned, keeping her eyes on the reflection. In doing so, turning away from her fears, her fears we slow. She noticed as she pulled her right foot around in front of her, the reflection was a fraction of a second slower than she. Which did not make sense. Technically, she was it and it were she. This was proven to be wrong.

- I'd work a bit harder to keep to my tenses, you go between past and present a little though the piece is intended for present.
