Annabel peeked over the edge of the cliff, which gave her a birds' eye view of the world she has always known. Life here, in Carame Valley, isn't always as fabulous as the brochures make it. At least everday a new victim of Elasin pops up. Elasin is an extremely rare disease in all other corners of the world, however, for reasons unknown, Carame Valley seems to attract the virus. Most people outside the Valley are unaware of this tradgedy, as no income will go to the families in need if they are abandoned. When someone is to catch Elasin, their breathing becomes labored, and their muscles weaken. If you are unlucky enough to catch a severe case, then blood seeps through you like water. Many people here agree that Elasin is a curse, caused by the death of a little girl years ago by the name of Alison. Thus, the disease found a name.
Few people lived after infection, and, even if they did, who would want to?
The symptoms never go away, and there is no cure known. Annabel was a girl of young age, but even she knew this. As terrible as times could be, people still found happiness. Annabel thought about these things as she saw her mother leaving the house, no doubt looking for her. No one knew of the Cliff, which Annabel nicknamed 'Canis'. She thoroughly enjoyed going to 'Canis', even if the grass was black for some reason. As if a fire came and permanatley killed everything. Shoving these thoughts from her mind, Annabel started towards home.
The next day, and many since, Annabel has been enjoying her childhood freedom outside. Soon after, Annabel weakens. Her stamina withers and weakens like a lonely flower. Her visits to Canis Cliff dwindle. One of the days during her rather boring conefinement to a bed, she lifts her legs, and when the stillness of night assured her, she moved for Canis. She drew nearer and nearer, her mind buzzing with the questions she already had answers to. She let tears fall as she reached the top of her lovely Cliff, and as she looks over the valley, she counts her knowledge and knows her disease. The winds buzzes in her ears, and the ground gets closer. Annabel concentrates on the withered black grass of the Cliff before her head hits the ground, killing her instantly.
~Seven Years Later~
Here in this deserted land, a strange cliff overlooks a desprate place. No life is found here, but corpses are overabundant. Still, new life buds. A few families move to this wasteland, and later join those weeping in the dark, suffering weakness from unkown causes, but one victim spoke of a small girl speaking to him, ever so softly, again and again speaking two soft names; "Alison and Annabel.", and soon after, the cause of these deaths and the ones before them is soon discovered. A virus, a terrible one at that, poisened all the life it met. But there was also a second virus, one not fatal, one that could be cured with the simplest ingrediants, ingredients that could have been found when this place was known as 'Carame Valley'. They also learned of a tragedy, including many citizens, who believed they were the same ailment, and many of them flung themselves from the top of the black cliff.

One of my better ideas, I think.
Well I like it anyway. A kind of symbolic tragedy.I like writing tragedies, so this was fairly easy.
