1. School – is it always the same?
It’s always the same on school days. Boring, tiring and, well, boring. Our teachers aren’t much fun either. And whenever your day turns into a tragic experience, the day starts at school. I bet all of my classmates are bored stiff, too; I can see it in their faces. They normally are. But not as bored as me. Well, they never actually understand anything the teachers say, so I guess they probably are more bored than me, because I normally understand. No-one teases me about understanding, though. They are all very nice here. The lessons and teachers could be better, but the pupils are great just the way they are.
Well, the first paragraph was a bit boring, wasn’t it… I’m sure you’ll be interested sooner or later. At least I’ve got that lot off my chest; I had to tell someone what I think of my school. Go on, guess the name. I bet you probably guessed something like any normal school: Oaklands School, Chestnut High, something like that. No. It is actually ‘Boar Forest High’. I think it deserves ‘Bore Forest High’, that describes it perfectly. No one really visits or brings people to the school. It is hidden away at the other side of the forest. I bet you think the forest name is an appropriate name for what it looks like, dark, shady, like ‘The Dark Forest’, but it isn’t. It is called ‘The Light Forest’, and known by the villagers at the side where the school is ‘The Boar Field’, when it isn’t even a field. It just has a few boars that live in there under the trees or in deep holes in the ground.
Better be getting to the story then.
I was in class, and ANOTHER boring day was passing. I decided to go and hide in one of the toilets so I could bunk of the lesson. So I did, and guess what, someone WOULD have made my day if it hadn’t ended so badly. I had forgotten to lock the door, so Julien, one of my classmates, came and locked it from the outside (you could unlock it from the outside, how weird!). Then I heard a cry and pushed on the lock as hard as I could, and it broke but I got out; only to find Julien running away from an old lady, just standing there at the door. Her eyes were a gleaming red, and she was wearing a dark green jacket and black trousers.
I ran after her as she headed for the classroom. She opened the doors and red lasers came out of her eyes. Everyone ran and some were too slow and the lasers shredded their clothes, then skin.
I got outside and I saw lots of kids stuck in the classrooms, clawing the windows to try and get out. They weren’t successful, but the lady’s eyes were. They went through the windows and into the kids trying to get out. It wasn’t a good sight.
So that was when I ran over the road next to the school into Julien’s house. His mother, Kirsten, was there.
“What is going on, dear?” she asked me.
“Help! Your son and everyone at school are being killed!” I screamed.
She put me into her car and got into the driving seat.
“Let’s go and save the school!” she declared. Which gave me an idea.
“This… this…” I started, unable to get the right words out.
“Yes?” she asked.
“WE’RE HERE; STOP!” I yelled, changing the subject immediatly.
I got out and ran over to the woman who was killing everyone (later found out to be called Ethel Laserlight).
“STOP!” I cried.
She laughed, and that did it. I ran over to her, bit deeply into her neck and then broke it. She was dead.
Victory broke over the school, even to the people mourning over their dead friends. I ran from the school back to my home, keeping out of the attention. I didn’t need the whole world to know my secret. That day was the best but worst day of my life so far…
2. Back to school; nothing could get worse than my classmates being killed… right?
So I was back to school again. So, ANOTHER boring day passed. But it wasn’t the same as yesterdays. Now I find yesterday quite exciting, except for the fact that loads of my classmates were killed and the school has blood, ripped clothes and dead bodies all over the playground and in the window ledges. I am quite relieved that my best friends weren’t killed. That would have had me in tears for ten times more than I did for just the classmates.
I just don’t know how people from that race could be so evil. I mean, they just kill people for no reason whatsoever. I just can’t stand people like that. They wouldn’t be very pleased if they were in the dead classmates position (which wasn’t very comfortable at the moment, but I guess they’re dead so it makes no difference). I can’t understand why people kill or hurt for no apparent reason. True, I am a vampire, but my kind of vampire race don’t have to have blood. There is a story about the vampire race, which I have to tell you.
Once there was one kind of vampire in the race, who had a government to give their rules. The rules were things like this:
1. You are not allowed to drink any kind of blood.
2. You have to obey the government.
3. You are never to turn unaware humans into vampires, and if there was a human wanting to join the vampire community, the Vampire Government had to agree before they became one.
4. Any humans aware of vampires had to go to the Vampire Government to have their memory of the vampires erased.
They were the ‘Four Golden Rules’. Hmm, sounds a bit daft. But anyway, they were the rules.
The thing was, some of the vampires didn’t agree with the rules. So they started another kind of vampire in the race, and they made their own rules. There was a war, and because they couldn’t tell which was which kind of vampire, lots of people killed people from their own kind.
In the war, one vampire found the other kind’s rules. So that is where I have got them from:
1. You must drink human blood once a week.
2. You must obey your own government, not the other kind’s.
3. You are able to turn humans into vampires whenever you want.
4. If humans are aware of vampires in their presence, they must be killed.
Now, look at number three. That rules was taken into their consideration, and they decided to make all humans into vampires.
I went into school the next day. I found my friend, Alisha (who was also a vampire, and there were some more of my vampire friends near her), waving a piece of paper in my direction. I walked over to her.
“What is it?” I asked.
“Look, read this.” Said Tim.
So I did.
“Oh my…” I said, not knowing how to end.
“Yes. Now read all of it. You’ve just read the heading!”
It read:
Girl, age unknown, killed woman terrorising school.
We are still wondering what she did to kill this woman found killing school of 70 pupils with laser eyes. The girl has been found running away from the school as a reporter drove past. This is what the teacher has to say.
“I can’t believe anyone could come in and terrorise my class-”
She had to end there because another woman with laser eyes killed her. This girl HAS to save us.
“Right, yeah, lets take this seriously… we’re NOT gonna die, right guys?” I said, nervously.
“Yeah… oh God she’s gonna kill us, isn’t she.” Said Tim.
“Well… what do you think? She didn’t kill any of US, right Anne. Anne, where are you?!” I searched all around the playground.
“She was… killed…” Said Alisha.
“Uh, did I hear that right? SHE KILLED ANNE? THE b***h OF A WOMAN”
“Of course you’d say that, she was our friend. But, what if there is a reason. Like, she COULD have just been feeding.”
“'She COULD have just been feeding'” I glared at her. "What kind of vampire kills a human when they FEED?"
"Um... she could be different."
"SHE'S DIFFERENT ALRIGHT!" I shouted.
"What is going on here?" asked our teacher, who happened to be standing next to us.
"Uh-oh." I said.
"We're not doing anything, miss; it was her!" Alisha pointed her finger at me (tell-tale brat).
"Well, please do not fall out with each other again." said the teacher, and walked off.
"Grr..." I said.
