• “Your laughter….” I murmured.
“What was that?” Sevana asked still chuckling. Her Cheeks were rosy and tears were welling up in her eyes from her convulsions.
I put my head down on the table and closed my eyes. I listened to the conversation but only vaguely.
Annie’s phone rang when I finally opened my eyes. Apparently she had some appointment to go to and left. A few minutes later Ian and Kassie had to go for their next mission request.
That left me and Sevana alone in the room. I sighed and lay down on the couch instead of sitting on the floor. Sevana was sitting on the chair across the coffee table.
“You don’t say much do you?” Sevana asked me.
    “I dunno.”
“Judging by your records I imagined you would be more… lively.”
“You’ve been looking through my records?” I asked incredulously. My files in the TDM database weren’t glamorous. Accolades for bravery on various missions, hundreds of completed requests. The notes on my personality were varied showing unpredictability when outside of operations.
“Why wouldn’t I?” she said crossly.
Apparently she was being annoyed by me some how. She stared at me.
“I like the way your voice sounds,” I said.
Sevana opened her mouth then closed it. She was blushing and appeared confused.
“ I like listening to your voice. The way it sounds is just nice. I’d rater listen to you than talk myself.”
Sevana sat there staring at me. She was going to say something but I suddenly blurted out
    “You’re very pretty.
Sevana looked like she was slapped across the face.
“I.. I-I’ll have you know that I do not appreciate the way you are treating me.”
“I was just saying what I thought. I didn’t mean to offend you. Sorry,” I said calmly.
Sevana really was pretty. She had long hair this really light blonde color and was very petite. Her face was delicately structured like some kind of princess and her eyes shimmered a stunning emerald green.
“I have to admit though, you really are attractive,” I said bluntly.
    “Th-Thank you,” she stuttered awkwardly.
I resumed looking at the ceiling. A silence crept over us and remained unbroken for a time. I lay on the couch as Sevana sat on her chair thinking about whatever she was thinking about.
I was also heavy in thought. After some careful deliberation and contemplation I made a decision. I had just come up with a plan of action
I rose up to a sitting position and asked “Would you like to go out with me sometime?”
