It was cold. So cold. It was as if she had frozen inside a glacier. Oh right. She had almost forgotten. The battle. It was as if it had happened yesterday. Hunter sitting on the throne. Her surprise attack. The mayhem. The insanity.
She had to find him. She had to track him down and destroy him. If she didn't, there wouldn't be a future. Hunter would make everyone slaves. He would torture them. But she had to think about now. Where was she? What year was it? How old was she? She obviously was somewhere in the arctic. Around the north pole. She had no way to tell what year it was. She would answer that one later. She looked at the reflection in front of her. Her body was still 18. Still had her long, auburn hair. Her pale skin. She was still wearing her long, dark cloak over her dress. Her mind, however, knew all of the knowledge of the oldest person alive. She had to get out of this glacier. Then she remembered something else important. She had powers.
And then, just like that, she was free and the shards of broken ice were falling around her. Then she soared up into the sky. As she flew, she scanned the area for any remote villages. As one came into sight, she landed gracefully in front of it. She walked into one of the stores and saw a calendar. 2009, she thought, Its been that long. "Um, excuse me miss. May I help you?" She turned around and saw an elderly lady standing behind her. She may be able to help me, she thought. "Yes, hi," she finally replied," Call me Melody. I was wondering..........."
