• I had never been so scared in my life. I hid, in the dark, behind a big oak. I tried to hold my breath but it kept coming in quick gasps. I slid down and wrapped my arms around my knees. I heard the sound of its paws racing towards me. I don’t want to die! It stopped. It’s breath getting louder with each second. I looked through long brown hair and saw its nose poke out from the other side of the tree. It sniffed the air. I looked up. It was my only chance. With one quick movement I jumped up and grabbed a branch. I swung myself around the tree and onto a thick branch and kept going. Then I stopped half way up. The tree was shaking. I looked down. The huge wolf was pushing the tree back and forth. Then its black eyes looked up into mine and it disappeared. I sat back, but lost my balance, and I fall. The last thing I saw the big black wolf racing towards me.
