• Regrouping With Strangers

    Blinded by the light as I open my eyes. I’m in the cell by myself lying on the floor in pain, all my muscles were in aching and the side of my head was bruised from the crash. “Warne. Can you hear me? Answer me if you can.” I waited for a reply but there was only silence. “Pst! Hey you, can you hear me? I’m in the cell over from you.” Who was this mysterious person talking to me? And what did he want?
    “Yeah, I can hear you.”
    “Good, I was in here when they brought you in here. You have an elemental presence among you and I think I know a way you could use is to get both of us out of here.”
    I thought for a moment.
    “What makes me so sure that I can trust you?”
    “Do you have another option?”
    “I guess not, what do you need me to do?”
    “I need you to use your magic and blast a hole through the wall between us.”
    I thought for a moment.
    “How do I do that?”
    “You’re kidding me right, just think about what you want to do and it’ll come to you.”
    I starting thinking about breaking a hole through the wall, but nothing happened. All the thinking started to make my head ache again, then my arm started glowing again and the power just flew from my arm and hit the wall.
    “Whoa, nice shot mate! Kind of overkill through, hahaha. You destroyed the wall and half the bars with it! Hurry so we can make a run for it.”
    “Wait.” I said. “I need to find the guy who was captured before me, we will know what to do next.”
    “Captured before you, hmmm nope I don’t recall anyone being brought in before you.”
    “We have to find him before it’s too late.” He thought for a moment.
    “I guess since he knows what to do then we better find him.”
    “Thanks for helping me, by the way I’m Xavier.”
    “The names Angelo, and looks like we’re a team for now mate.”
    The sound of footsteps caught our attention.
    “The prisoners have escaped, hurry!” Angelo looked at me with a smile.
    “Well mate looks like you got more practice.”
