• "Pay attention Vanessa, you'll miss important information", Professor. X told her, she mumbled to herself, why had she been the only one awake early in the morning to learn? This was insane! Picking up a pencil she began to jot down 'some' notes, "hey, Professor. X... why are you trying so hard for me?", it was such a straight forward question it seemed to actually surprise the old man, Vanessa placed her pencil down and listened intently to his reply, "unlike the other students you seem to struggle the most", Professor.X told her, Vanessa shrugs her shoulders and laughed a bit, that was true so she couldn't deny it of course, "and most of all you skip your daily training almost every day Vanessa, is there something the matter?", he asked. Vanessa frowns and began to pick at a string dangling on the sleeve of her solid red colored shirt, "no, nothings the matter, everything is peachy keen", Vanessa said, her head turns away from him.

    The sudden hazy feeling began to start up again, and although she lived at this academy for only a few days now she knew all too well of what was happening, "uhg! Stay out of my head! Stop digging into things you don't understand!", she shouts, before exiting his office. Vanessa sighed, "he has no idea how much pain I've caused, no idea!".

    Before coming to Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters Vanessa started out her second year in just a normal High School with normal human beings. "So did you hear about the killing on the news?", Jessica across from her desk asked her, Vanessa shrugged, "so, what of it?", Jessica scrunched up her face in disgust, and for a second she thought it was towards her, "well I heard mutants caused it", Jessica said, "you know I hope someday the government will get rid of- -!?", Vanessa slammed her hand on the desk stopping not only Jessica but the rest of the class from talking, "you know Jessica not everyone wanted to become a mutant, they were born that way!", Vanessa yelled, "next time just shut up when you speak about that sort of thing", Jessica was shocked, and everyone knew how emotional she would get during situations like this, "I was just trying to state my opinion Vanessa!", Jessica said before bursting out of the room in a fit. The class stared at her, "harsh", one boy said, "I know right", a girl replied, Vanessa groaned, this time she wasn't going after her, she should think about what she says before she says it, it's a habit that she hasn't broken out of since Elementary School, "to the office Johnson... now", Ms. Percy said as she hands her a refurl, "what, a refurl , are you fu- -!?", Ms. Percy took out another refurl half way, " say it, and see what you get", she said, "uuuhhgg!", with that she took her backpack and books and stormed out the class room slamming the door so hard it knocked off the teachers picture that had been on the wall.

    Half way down the hall she saw Jessica near her locker sobbing like she saw some shitty Soap Opera, she took a glance at Vanessa and looked away, a bit afraid to look her in the eyes, Vanessa passed her not even carrying to say sorry, Jessica closed her locker, "hey! Why do you get so angry about stuff like that", Jessica asked, Vanessa stopped, "you should already know by now Jessica, if you haven't then you should just leave me alone", Vanessa told her before opening the door to leave, but like always Jessica would follow no matter what Vanessa said, "Vanessa, wanna skip?", Jessica said as she wraps her arms around her waist, Vanessa grunts, "the hell Jessica...", this was actually the first she had heard Jessica say such a thing, maybe her bad girl ego was rubbing off on Jessica, " come on it's only a one time thing, it's not like no one will see us", Jessica said with a giggle, "and plus I already have the keys", she said while jiggling it in front of Vanessa's face... the offer was so tempting, how could she resist.

    Vanessa zipped through the radio station until she hit 98.7, "oh~ Vanessa leave it there, I love Misery!," Jessica said as she began to sing along, Vanessa sighed, a small smile forming upon her face, "come on Vanessa sing along", Jessica pleads, Vanessa shakes her head, "no... I can't sing", but neither could Jessica, sounded like a Hyena mating with a porcupine, " so, and you think I can?", Jessica said before turning the music up louder, "come on sing just one part before it's over", Jessica begged, "alright!!!", Vanessa yelled over the loud music. Before she knew it the song was over, "I hate you", Vanessa said, "and I love you too, but tell me, was it that bad~", Jessica teased, Vanessa grits her teeth, " save it Jessica, just. Save. It", she said through clenched teeth, Jessica only laughed, "I thought you sounded good", Jessica admits, " oh shut up", Vanessa said with a smile. Jessica stopped at the gas station in order to get gas, "got to keep the baby fueled", Jessica said before getting out of the car, Vanessa roles her eyes and watched Jessica walk to the small store, but what really grabbed her attention was the two men wearing nothing but black, Vanessa got out of the car and walked towards the store, well more like ran once the two men went inside, she could see Jessica inside with bags of chips and two Arizona cans in her arms, it seemed like she was as suspicious as she was of the two strange men. Opening the door a light 'ding' had grabbed the attention of the cashier, Jessica, and the two men, "Jessica, hurry up and purchase this stuff and lets go...", Vanessa said as she neared her, the two men gazed at Vanessa and Jessica with hungry eyes, one winked at Jessica while the other made an inappropriate hand gesture towards Vanessa. Jessica turned her head in pure disgust which made the man who winked at her grab her arm, "hey baby wanna go some place quiet?", he asked, Vanessa took a step forward, "get your hand off of her you a*****e", she snaps, but she was stopped from doing anything else by the other man, "calm down, calm down, you'll get yours soon enough", he said as he took her by the waist, like instinct her fist connected with the mans jaw, he let go of her and his partner let go of Jessica, "you stupid b***h!", he said as he pulled out a gun from the side of his pants, Jessica screamed as did the cashier, "wait, Jack... she's mine", the other man said as he wipes his bleeding mouth with the back of his hand.

    Jack took Jessica by the hair, this sent a rage through Vanessa, he points the gun at her head then lowers it to her left breast, stroking it lightly, he grins at Vanessa, "I'm going to do her good while you watch", Jack said. Jessica whimpers, "I won't let him do it Jessica", Vanessa told her, a sudden burst of laughter came from the two, "you're so confident, what makes you so sure he wont?". the man said before taking her in a head lock, "kuh!", he leans in, " hehe, you two are mighty fine", he admits while he signals something to Jack, who licks his lips before shooting the cashier, Jessica screams, "time for the games to begin!", Jack said before pushing Jessica to the counter and stripping her of her clothes, "no!!!", Jessica screamed but Jack continued, his pants falling down to his ankles, Vanessa struggles to get out of his hold, "chill, you don't want to miss any of this", he told her, "do it... and I'll kill you", Vanessa said in such a dark tone of voice, Jack looked her way, "oh really?", He said as he was about to thrust. Vanessa's eyes widen, and in a split second the man who was holding her had fell to his knees, blood gushing from his decapitated head, Jack pulled away from Jessica, he was too shocked to even use her as a hostage, "y-you're... a freaking- - !!", Jessica began to shake in fear, "a mutant", Vanessa finished for him. Vanessa began to conjure sharp red X's that began to spin almost instantly, "wait... please, I'm sorry!", but the look on Vanessa's eyes showed no sort or mercy what so ever, "you really piss me off...", and with a thrust of her hand the X's began to slaughter the man until he was no more, Jessica covered her mouth and fell to her knees.

    Vanessa looked at Jessica, "lets go", she told her before walking up to her, but she quickly backed away refusing the out stretched hand, Vanessa frowns, "forget it", Vanessa said before turning around and heading out of the store. A few feet away from the store Jessica ran out of the store, "stop! Why didn't you say anything before?!", Jessica said as tears ran down her cheeks, Vanessa stopped, "because I was afraid I would loose the only friend I have", Vanessa admits, Jessica was about to speak up but the sound of sirens stopped her from doing so. Cop cars, five of them to exact surrounded them both, "put your hands up!", one cop yelled while they point their guns towards Vanessa, she did as they told her and went down on her knees, her hands behind her head, one cop quickly made it to her side and violently pushed her face to the ground and hand cuffed her, "stop it! She didn't do anything!!!", Jessica screamed, a few cops held her back while they brought Vanessa to one of the cop cars and then brought Jessica to another, "you know that really hurt", Vanessa said to the cop who stayed silent, "am I going to jail?", she asked, "no", was all the man said, okay now she was confused, "what do you mean no?", Vanessa asked, for a moment there was only silence, then he spoke again, "you're going some place far... far away young lady", he told her before turning around a gun pointed at her, "wait!", but he already pulled the trigger, strange thing was, she didn't feel like she was dead.

    "Have you filled out the papers?", a voice said, "yes, yes, ah and what time does the airplane leave?", another voice said, this one how ever sounded very calm and feminine, "in about an hour, so you have time Ms.Frost", the male voice said, "good". A little bit later Vanessa began to wake up from her long sleep, "uuhh...", last thing she heard was airplane and paperwork, her eyes open for the first time in hours to find herself on a bed, maybe she was home, "what?", Vanessa looks around the dark room and finally made it off of the bed, the light coming from under the door was her only guide at the moment. A bit light headed from what ever they gave her so she had to rest upon the door for a few seconds before opening it up, she saw a few people walk by and some kids run and chase one another, where she was, well she had no clue. "Tag you're it!", a little boy said as he touched her leg, Vanessa growled in response and began to trail behind the little speed demon, her run was more like a drunken man trying to find his way back home, "I swear I'll find you! And when I do...", Vanessa leans on the wall, "I don't know, dangle you from a ten story building...", Vanessa finished. She slid down the wall the memories from before hitting her like a bomb, "I killed two men...", she said in a low voice, her head lowers, "oh my god...", she was on the verge of tears but the sound of a familiar voice caught her attention, Vanessa looks up to see a woman in a night gown that looked like it would cost more than herself, "you're awake", she said, "you're damn right I am, and I want answers", Vanessa said before getting back up on her feet, "first off, where the hell am I?.

    The woman who she know knew as Emma Frost had explained to her that she was going to be staying here at this academy, "stop spitting out bullshit", Vanessa snaps, Emma grins, "now there isn't any need for harsh language Vanessa", she said, Vanessa only roles her eyes, "this is basically kidnapping, my mom will put my name in the paper, and the - -?", Emma stopped Vanessa from speaking, " well I hope it's not, your mother agreed for this to happen, so I have to disagree", Vanessa frowns, "your making this up", Vanessa said, her voice a bit high, "I'm afraid not my dear", Emma said as she sips on her tea. Every second of this conversation made Vanessa very upset, she gets up from her seat and walked out of the kitchen, "see you in the morning", Emma said, Vanessa balls her fists, who the hell did that woman think she was anyways? "What ever".

    "Keep it up! Especially you Johnson!", Logan says in her ear piece, "I'm gonna die!", a younger girl behind Vanessa complained. Her team consisted of mostly people that complained almost every step of the way," like, oh my god, I think I broke a nail!", another girl said, Vanessa couldn't stand it anymore, "like, oh my god, shut the hell up!!!", she yells, "if it's too much then get off this damn team!", the girl roles her eyes, "who made her the leader", the girl said, Vanessa groans, "I am the team leader!", Another one of the bombs had exploded near them making the girls scream in unison, "uhg, why do I have to be pared off with such dumb asses...", Vanessa said under her breath. Once Vanessa thought it was safe enough to keep going she stood up, "come on lets go!", she told the three girls who quickly got up and ran past destroyed trucks and blazing fires... even killer robots, but they weren't so lucky when they were spotted by one, "aaahh! We are really going to die!", one of the girls said, Vanessa got in front of them trying to remember their names as much as she could, "uhh, Stacy, Erica, and Kindle", they all gasped, " you have powers, use them!", Vanessa said before conjuring a large red X, and with the newly discovered strength she obtained while doing this training, she threw the X with all her might and it went spinning right towards the chest, "Stacy you have the ability to send shock waves by clapping her hands together right? So do your thing!", Stacy gets into a stance and clapped her hands, "take this you piece of scrap!", Stacy said as she claps her hands together even more, it made the killer robot malfunction, "Erica you have the ability to absorb different sorts of material, absorb that steel bracelet you have on your wrist!", Vanessa Erica nods her head and absorbed the steel bracelet on her wrist in order to cover her fists, "Kindle you know what to do", Vanessa said with a grin. "Hey Kindle lift me up there so I can get a shot in!", now this was what Vanessa liked, they were all working as a team, "sure thing!", Kindle took Erica by the arms and flew as high up they saw the head, "drop me!", Erica told her, so Kindle did, and with a mighty punch to the killer robots head it shut down, " yahoo! We did it! We did it!", Stacy said as she began to jump for joy like some little kid who figured out how to spell a word, "yeah yahoo...", Vanessa said with her arms crossed, "yahoo my a**, do you not know that we still haven't made it to the finish line!", all three girls rubbed the back of their head, "yeah, party's over now lets - -!!", in that moment everything began to fade away until the normal training room appeared, Scott, Logan, and Ororo stood by the rest of the students, "that was, well", Ororo was thrown off by the sudden out burst of Vanessa, "go ahead, say it we failed!", Vanessa said, Logan spoke up, "calm down kid, that wasn't what she was going to say", Logan said, this surprised Vanessa and the three girls, "like I was saying, that was very good for your first try", Ororo told them, "but I thought we were supposed to make it to the finish", Vanessa said, she was confused, this is were Scott comes in, "yeah, that's true but there are obstacles as well which you had to face... not run away from", Scott said, the kids in the back mumbled and rubbed the back of their heads, " it wasn't about who made it to the finish first, it was about which team worked together in order to see to it that they brought down that obstacle", Scott smiles, "and you four did, congratulations".

    Professor Xavier had been outside, enjoying the fresh air she guessed, "Professor", Vanessa said timidly, he turns his chair around to face her, "how was your training?", he asked her, Vanessa shrugs her shoulders, "it was good I guess", Vanessa admits, he smiled, " and sorry for yelling at you... I know you were trying to help out", she told him, " apology accepted, now shall we head in for a quick snack", he said that smile still on his face, Vanessa smiles as well, "alright old man", She said while walking back inside with him, this place wasn't bad... not bad at all.
