Mr Dirkin fancies Miss Ross,
I saw them kissing after school;
Mr Dirkin is a real dingbat
But Miss Ross is quite cool.

What does she see in such a prat
With his flares and stupid ties?
She's so lovey with long brown hair
And beautiful big brown eyes.

Miss Ross has just started at our school
And she takes us out to lots of parks
Whereas Mr Dirkin is head of English,
Is she going out with him for extra marks?

Good one! It charms me more each time I read it, The rhythm is daring, and it works. The rhymes are just adorable.

I feel this poem would work better as a limerick? It has that kind of tone to it. I appreciate that this poem isn't up its own a** with some kind of message like the mess I write, and that it is well-written in its own right. A gentle relief from the diarrhea of bad poetry in the arenas.
