I walk upon this same old path,
Where nothing’s seemed to change,
Yet everything feels different,
Somehow this place feels strange.
I have walked here many times,
But without her it’s something more,
Like this is a whole new place,
So different than before.
I no longer have her hand to hold,
As we stroll this track,
Kicking up the autumn leaves,
Not wanting to turn back.
I don’t have her gorgeous smile,
To warm the coldest chill,
Never will I smell her scent,
Against the wind’s blowing will.
This path is nothing like it was,
Now that she is no longer here,
And to think it never will be,
Is something that I fear.

- Wow. Autumn seems to be a month of remebering, eh? =P I wrote a poem a couple days ago about walking down the same road and having old forgotten memories flash before my eyes. Interesting. 5 stars. And favorited.

This is, in a way.... how I seem to look at life.
I walk the same roads every day, but something is different. Maybe something happened yesterday, or the clouds take unknown shapes. Either way, it seems I've never been there before.
Definitely one of my favorite poems. - Report As Spam
