She was suddenly so perfect
and all she had to do to get it
Gave up her whole identity
Now all the world is at her feet
She thinks that she has everything
Missing just those two snow-white wings
But oh, she's made a big mistake
The wings are not for her to take

Ooh, forged angel
She's not what she seems
Poor forged angel
Lost sight of her dreams

Her friends say now she's so perfect
and all she had to do to get it
Gave up her whole identity
She's just what they want her to be
They said they'd give her everything
That halo and those two white wings
But oh, they've made a big mistake
for what they've forged is doomed to break

Ooh, forged angel
She's not what she seems
Poor forged angel
Lost sight of her dreams
