• Description: I wrote this in memory of all those innocent people who have died in war of prejudice, racism, and the irrational beliefs of the humans that murdered and destroyed those who loved to be who they were. To think that our world has come so far, yet fallen so deep. I can only hope that we, this generation, will bring the human race out of the dark ages, and allow the souls of the innocent to rest in peace.... No I am not EMO!!!! Fly away little dove
Escape to your endless sky
Feel the breeze under your wings
Watch the struggle of human kind from above
Fly away little dove
I will be joining you soon
I watch the soldiers pace the fence,
riffles in hand
I hear the screams of my fellow people
I smell the rot of flesh and disease

Do not worry little dove
I will join you soon
As I gaze through these bars,
I can see my ultimate freedom
So close,
almost time
The nooses are lined striaght,
the gas chmber is open,
the shooting range is clear,
and the furnaces are blazing

Fly away my friend
I will be soaring with you soon
As my body turns to ash,
my soul,
my heart,
is released into the air
The endless sky awaits
Our new home is attainable
Our suffering is coming to a close
Our struggle to survive,
in a torturous world,
a meaningless existence,
is at an end

So I ask again little dove,
my mother,
my father,
my sister,
my brother,
my friends,
Fly away
Await for my body to burn,
to be buried,
to be forgotten
Await for my spirit to be released
We will soar together
The soldiers,
the murderers,
have come for me
My end is at hand

Fly away little dove
To the top of the chimnies,
to the graveyard
I will wait for you,
as you have waited for me
We will fly home together
We will leave our pains behind
And obtain our freedom

Let us fly home
Let us be together
Let us be free
Make the suffering end

I do love this poem it makes me think of world war 2 and its so beautiful i like that you use a dove in your writing considering a dove=peace it is sad but war isnt a happy subject my i post this as a blog on my myspace if i give u credit and a link to ur page?

This made me cry, which is an oddity in it's own right so good job indeed!! And I hope our generation will be stronger,better than those before. And yes, it is dark, but it is also sadly beautiful. One doesn't have to be "emo" to have emotions and the ability to truly let them seen.
