    Is there no place to hide?
    Am I stuck in a world of dreams?
    Reality is unreachable
    Or so it seems.

    A normal day like any other
    A time not different from the rest
    I lolled around, thinking of what to do
    But found it difficult. What was best?

    Boredom shielded me from life’s joys
    But you broke it, oh you broke it
    I glimpsed your face and somehow
    In a world of ordinariness, you didn’t fit.

    A smile, a laugh was all it took
    I fell under your spell
    Was it a serious want, or petty?
    I really couldn’t tell.

    Days passed so fast
    How many I didn’t care
    I wish, though, you didn’t feel
    My penetrating stare.

    You alone broke the monotony
    Of life when it was dullest
    Now ask, Can we be friends?
    Why, be my guest.
