• You look as you witness the
    sky blacken.
There's a disturbance in the air.
    So the tears began.
    You're drenched soon enough,
    not caring, you look and
    see the lightning flash.
    The thunder rolls
    across the plain, booming,
trembling the Earth in it's wake.
    The rain hardens, it pounds
    harder onto your skin.
Beating you harder and harder, more
    strikingly painful.
    Your skin reddens, your
    mood changes.
    You feel different from
    when you came.
    Something trickles down your face;
    it's warmer than the
rest of the water soaked onto your
    body.
    Tears flowing nonstop,
    look back into the sky.
Now you know why it's raining.
