She looks down upon herself.
Beaten down.
Defeated.
Over and over again
She takes the place of phantom nightmares,
That once tormented her years ago.
You're going there again, aren't you?
Her pleading eyes begged for a freedom
Which had always hung beyond her grasp;
Crouched down in a rusted cage
The only real home she had ever known
She likes it there.
Dark.
Silent.
Only a lingering pain to keep her company.
Don't you need somebody there with you?
Within her heart
The world became her tomb:
A cold, withered place where only she stands alone.
She's ready to join the rest;
Ready to feel her last aching breath;
Let the winds speak her name
So that her spirit may move on.
You don't have to live like this.

- Title: Eulogy
- Artist: Sapphire Seven
- Description: Basically a living eulogy for myself. Written not long before moving from North Carolina.. Between my insecurities in a relationship and the on-going threat of homelessness, one could only imagine the stress I had been going through. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if I got a few more grey hairs because of it all.
