Call to Arms
Look at these words that fill up my screen!
Those laments of victims of crimes obscene!
Look at these words, and then turn round and say
as you look me in the eye: "These things are okay."
You know you cannot, yet here we still sit;
no one stakes a stand! Why, is it not worth it?
This world's gone to Hell, if such things are allowed!
What's happened to ethics, of which we should be proud?!
And while I'm on this rant, by the way,
where went the knights of morality? 'Cuz they didn't stay.
I'll tell you exactly what happened, because I know.
God didn't sleep in, all good didn't go,
the World made the good people lazy and fat, distracted the people from what was around.
All of the bad things are right up front, but the eyes of the people are fixed on the ground.
And so went the ethic's demise, lest you yourself would like to stand on a box,
and shout tho the people, remind them what's right, and risk being hung on a cross.
This is no story of how it all ended; this is a call to the cities and farms,
that if they would like to uphold their morals, then they must answer their own call to arms.
